Azor I never called you a JW but yes I understand how offensive that can be hehehehe I fully understand! I am also a 3rd generation JW but I have not officially left. Believe me my heart goes to you! I understand what you are going through and understand the anger. Some days I think about doing very bad things but thinking about bettering my life is what keeps me going. Some days I am so depressed and other days I am so happy. My family has lost so much because of this cult there is no way to describe what I am feeling. So we do have a lot more in common then! I do not know what I said to you to deserve this treatment. I only stated facts but it is obvious you do not like facts and only like your opinion. If someone disagrees then you attack them with such language? Sickening. But yes I am a JW who is fading. I'm going through a rough time with my family because of it. I come here because I need support. That is why I am here on a JW message board. If you are not a JW why are you here? Do you need help to get out of a cult? Or is it to spew your hate? Simon is too nice of a guy to tell you to leave or ban you but I think you will push his patience far enough.

Guilt as Motivator

i feel guilty that i haven't had it as bad as so many of you.
i feel guilty that i didn't have any jw family/friends that shunned me when i left.

Lifesnotover I think the best thing to do is go to a professional for help. I know for me it is very difficult to deal with this situation but so far I have managed but many cannot.

i watched it and pretended i had never been a jw.. if you pretend you don't understand their particular language it makes for a interesting (if not vague) watch.. btw i've seen several of the actors before.

You have missed the point entirely and shame on you for choosing such a terrible argument. Although you might not suffer in prison as you would in China, every country on earth has a similar situation if you enter ILLEGALLY. The key word is illegally. You will 100% be deported at the minimum from Canada, all of Europe and do not even start with the Middle East nations.
There is no justification for this. None. I'm not arguing that the commercial should not be aired (as you said this is America and we have that wonderful right to do so) but I'm arguing the content is disturbing and suggestive of condoning illegal activity.

I am an immigrant but I find that commercial disgusting! I came here legally with my family. This video is condoning illegal immigration?
As a Korean if I were to illegally enter China do you know what would happen to me if I over stayed my visa? First I would be put into a Chinese jail for 6 months until a trial could be held. Then if I get a fair trial I may have to serve time or pay a fine. Then I would be deported and never allowed to enter again. If I tried to then I would be put in prison for 30-40 years.
I am so sick of the mass hysteria about this situation. Shame on OP for thinking this was a good commercial.
