  Outcome - Banned in Russia - Final

  i just watched the live feed from the russian court room and followed the updates on the russian exjw forum.. just waiting for confirmation from other sources...but, it looks like the final (and expected) result is:.

  banned.

  which means that the wts property in russia now belongs to the russian state..

  Disfellowshipped people are dead people?

  skimming though my iphone earlier today i came across a fb post - which i now can't find!.

  basically it was a claim that a gb member had stated that associating with a disfellowshipped person was akin to sleeping next to a corpse.. so obviously i'm curious as to whether anyone else has come across this..

  Yes. If you are not a JW you are going to die at Armageddon, a very slow and painful death anyways so you are already dead now. Nobody should want to touch a dead body. Do you? You are literally the walking dead if you are not a JW. That's a fact. The Governing Body has made that clear.

  Was it just me or was something different about the memorial last night?

  this was the first memorial that i declined to do any work for the memorial.

  i was assigned as a parking attendant after getting downgraded from doing the sound and had no intention of doing either task but i had to attend for my family and continuation of my fade.

  i sat there last night listening to the talk and couldn't help but shake my head as my brain attempted to process the bs.

  Interesting to read these comments. I guess it wasn't just a local thing then. I think the JWs can be divided up into 3 main groups: 1, the holy rollers who will go down with the ship, no matter what evidence is shown including if GB members come out and say its a scam; 2, the middle grounders, who go to meetings mostly likely because of family but they want to believe because its convenient for them (searching for a new religion is a pain in the ass) and they go out in service but as time passes, they begin to sense that something is not right and they are open to doing research on the internet and but still afraid to find out about the truth about the truth; and 3, the toenails, like myself who hang in there because we have to for family reasons but we are already awake, but hanging in by a toenail because soon we're gonna just let go and say to hell with the family, I need to start a new life today.

  One more thing I want to add and I think this we can all be very happy about: every single "interested person" or bible study that I have seen come to my hall or the assembly or other halls is either mentally deranged or slow, someone who has gone through a recent tragedy like a loss of a loved one, someone who is dirt poor and shitoutta luck with no job prospects and the children of JW parents.

  That should tell you everything about what the next 10 or 20 years are going to bring and it makes me very happy because I know, the JW cult won't last like it did in the 60's until now with the diehard old timers.

  Bullshitting people back in the 60's was easy and the JW always kept the Armageddon carrot hanging in front of them, "the end is near!"

  Welcome to the year 2017! If you still believe what the JW cult is selling then you are the dumbest moron on earth. You'll regret it in 20 years when you realize you missed out on so much in life!

  I predict in 10 years- 144k partakers, 6 million members mostly from South America and Africa. ;) One day the JW cult will be known as the African religion. There is a lot of growth in Africa, in fact much more than I imagined but at the same time about the same amount of people are leaving in western nations thanks to the internet and the free flow of information.

  Nightmare on memorial night. This cult really sucks.

  this morning i woke up from a good night's sleep to a horrible nightmare.

  as soon as i woke up i asked myself when am i going to get this cult out of my head.

  as a disclaimer i just want you all to know my wife would never do this because she is a hard fast atheist.

  Iriddle80, so they did mention how many. Ok, that is interesting because this was the first time I can remember they did not mention. Also I read on JWsurvey that over 18,000 partakers last year. I'm hoping for over 20,000 this year!

  Thank you PE. Yes I mean there will always be those who go out of obligation but I'm talking about the regulars. They looked liked they did not want to be there. Apropos, I was thinking about the application of why "we must attend the memorial" and if you read the whole context, if you were anointed you would have been there to participate, eat the bread and drink the wine. All others did not need to attend and didn't. Am I wrong about this?

  This was the first memorial that I declined to do any work for the memorial. Enough about that. I sat there last night listening to the talk and couldn't help but shake my head as my brain attempted to process the BS. I think I even involuntarily facepalmed myself a few times. The speaker made sure to highlight at least 3 times that the worldwide memorial attendance is growing each year and this is a clear sign of Jehovah's blessing. He mentioned twice that the attendance was 20 million something but he did not mention one time the number of memorial partakers. This is the first year I remember that and talking to some of my friends afterwards they also all noticed the same thing. The talk was very generic otherwise and I think most people started to fall asleep of they must have been thinking to themselves "how many times to I need to hear this same bullsheet?" I noticed many people did not even bother to open the bible and read along. It was as if the energy was gone from previous years. Lots of people came late this time which is also new compared to previous years and the hall quickly emptied after. As I said, not much enthusiasm this year compared to other years. One brother who is usually friendly and stays long after the meeting ran out with his family with not a lot of smiling and talking. We had the same attendance as last year and the same old "memorializers" who come with their marriage mates or family out of obligation.
  

  So to sum up last night-

  Not one single mention of the number of partakers but three times mentioned that 20 million something attended the memorial last year and this was clear proof that Jehovah's is blessing his only organization, because growth!

  Same old boring talk, very generic and the same as every year. Lots of filler with the 144k, Jah's only organization and other BS.
  

  Same old memorializers and same attendance.

  Lots of sleeping people.

  Zero energy, zero enthusiasm. Most people came late and left immediately afterward. Was different than last year.
  

  I know that this could be my own subconscious bias wishing for this to happen so my mind interpreted the situation differently, but I can't help but get a different feeling this year that the energy is lost. Anyone else here notice this? Are people finally getting tired of the BS?
