So there is no concept of a preincarnate jesus being a character in the old testament in Wts land?

About two years ago i was challenged by a householder to do the research on the subject. Of course thinking it was all bunk I decided to take a look off the reservation. Much to my surprise a lot of started to make sense and I started to understand the connections between the old and new testament . I am not going to go into much detail about the said subject because it all out there if a person wants to learn.
The funny is in all my years in the KH I can't remember what the Wts position on the subject was. All I remember was an endless north Korea like propaganda program gloryifing the leadership.
Does anyone know what they believe?

The idea of a plurality of god wasn't considered a heresy in Judaism till the 2nd century.
There is a great book called the two powers in heaven you should read.

The watchtower and tract society is a belief that only seven men in Brooklyn new York into the new covenant and though your works and obedience to these men and the organization they lead, you will survive the impending Armageddon. It's idol worship on the highest level.
It will also cost you your family if you try and leave or disagree with the leadership
If you are lonely and need friendship literally do anything other than become a jehovah witness.
Also there is a great video series by a man named Michael s heiser on youtube explaining jesus and God in the old testament seeing the new testament though first century Jewish eyes. It literally made me ashamed of what I was telling people.

Elders/Ex-Elders: Question about Blood
by JWdaughter inafter many years of objecting to the wt teachings on many levels, blood being one of them, i recently started to wonder (ok, i am slow!
) : what exactly does the wt think that the early non jewish christians were abstaining from in the blood abstention bit.
while i understand the context of the request that the apostle sent to the brothers, i do not understand what jws think they were abstaining from.. meat slaughtered improperly?.

If you think my explanation is bizzare can you explain why the council in Jerusalem had needed to explain to gentile converts to keep their pants on?
Are gentile converts allowed to murder, steal etc?

Why Is YHWH Used Regularly In OT and NEVER in NT?

The tetragrammaton is actually quoted many times in the new testament using old testament quotes.
It's how it's added and omitted in the new testament really shows how dishonest the WTS is.

I read a commentary about Acts 15 chapter once saying the whole abstain from blood, sacrifices to idols and adultery was about gentile Christians to avoid Roman pagan festivals. Everyone drinking blood, toasting zues and later having an orgy.
That's it. That's all its about.
Translating that into denying your child or yourself medical care takes a special type of stupid. You literally would have to have the same moral compass of an abortion doctor or serial killer.

There is plurality to God in the old testament. One being the essence and power and one being seen and dealt with. No one can see God but obviously people did see God.
Paul calls jesus the visible image of the invisible God.
John says no on has seen the father only the son
Jesus in the old testament Co existed with God as jehovah in the old testament. In the new testament jesus to God as father. It's the god head.

I use to live in a town of 1000 people that was 20 percent exclusive brethren. Imagine the most Uber jehovah witness you know times ten. Strange ducks.
They actually owned a number of businesses in the communities and each one would have two coffee rooms so they wouldn't have to eat with the unbelievers.
I actually took my son out ice skating at an outdoor rink on the edge of town which I believed was the communities. Later two very stern men dressed in black showed up and asked us to leave. The ice belonged to the brethren church.
Also knew this couple new to the community and were looking for a church. So one Sunday morning they just walked into the brethren church and 150 heads turned and two very stern looking men asked them to leave. It's was a very creepy experience for them.

I have a cousin and an uncle who both have Bachelors of the theological studies from very liberal and secular universities before heading to bible school and becoming pastors.
They have told me there is some very common misconceptions in the bible.
1. It's not easy to understand
2. Large parts aren't very nice.
3 It's not all about Jesus.
4. Large portions are open for interpretation , especially Daniel and Revelations.
5. Any group that builds core dogma around revelations is dangerous or claims they know what it all means.
6.Studying scripture academically doesn't make you a Christian but it is important to know you are talking about.
7. Differences of opinion over minor dogma is alright.
8. The WTS is laughable in academic circles and dangerous in evangelical ones.
It's really fun to talk bible with trained professionals despite what you believe about the Bible.
