I have always seen a certain level of mockery in the WTS but this is literally homosexual erotica.
Besides of the writers of gay porn, who the fire tuck actually thinks about this stuff and talks about it.

this was a news article recently in an australian newspaper that caught my eye.. the premise was that to have a child is to inflict an extra human being onto the world and also, to inflict the world (with all its problems) onto the child.. there is a lot to say about this but from jw point of view, i have always believed it to be incredibly hypocritical that jw's have children in 'this system'.
all my life at the meeting i heard how little time we have left, how sick the world is, how i was probably going to be persecuted and end up in a jail cell for being a jw.
why would anyone want to become parents in this situation, particularly if they are confident there is only 'a short time left'?.
is this the reason some of the ubers in my cong don't have children?
last year i was at the memorial and the speaker was saying something about how the phrase born again was actually a mistake and it should say born from above.
jesus was actually referring to those with a heavenly hope.
last night i was flipping the channels and there is a religious program talking about being born again.
The part that bothers me is large tracts of the new testment are decided to the idea of spiritual rebirth or becoming the new creature in Christ.
Yet as a JW , basically none of that applies to the average person. Essentially the entire new testament is just written for the 144.
What a bizarre and depressing teaching.
I don' really understand the connection between being Born Again and tthat being limited.

This got me thinking about how dishonest the memorial talk was. Clearly the bible is referring to born again instead of born from above.
Sorry I can't copy from a phone or I would reference the scripture but has anyone else picked up on this?
anybody have some good suggestions?
not really sure what to call it.
it's kind of like country music - but i personally call it "western" music because it's - well - not country music.
I have been a Steve Earle fan for years.
I love the way he went from a main stream country act to an indie folk act.
Check out the Mastersons too.
the may 2018 watchtower is now out and thought i would make a few observations.in this article we get a story about gb sam herd.
the recurring theme throughout is the struggles he has had as a black man.he was born in 1935 in a one roomed log cabin in liberty indiana.
his mother raised him in the baptist church.
It' so ironic that people gave everything ( including their lives) in the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s , to get rid those Bullshit Jim Crow laws.
Yet if you were a Jehovah witness you would be disfellowshipped if you took a stand with those great men.
Absolute parasites.
i have been meeting with member's of the kingdom hall, and i have attended a few times now on sundays.
i'd like to discuss experiences with this group since i'm new.
so far, i love it.
ha ha ha
you have no idea son
we know that the wt claims all sorts of distinctions between the "anointed" 144,000 and the great crowd.
-- the "heaven" verses apply only to the 144,000; the "earth" verses apply only to the great crowd.
-- "unless you eat of the flesh of the son of man..." applies only to the 144,000, etc.. in fact, when you show jws some passage the wt doesn't follow, they often say, "oh, that only applies to the 144,000.".
Has it ever occurrd to anyone the JW use the book of revelations too basically void the entire new testament.
It's only for heavenly hopers who are solel represented by the faithful slave.
Building an entire dogma around the book of revelations is something no serious student if the scriptures can take serious
i am stuck on amos 4:11, jehovah said he will destroy the way god destroyed sodom and gamorah, is this a misprint?.
So
No one is getting the fact that Jehovah is referring to god as a separate person in that verse?

Between the old and new testament there is a 450 year period called the intertestamental period where god spoke to no one. There are a number of Jewish writing debating these odd passages in the old testament. How does god speak to speak? do we have one god or two gods etc etc. Strict monolistic Jews were not very comfortable with some of the passages in the scrolls because it made them look like pagans.
The general idea after the new testament was written was the visible manifestions of god in the old testament were actually Jesus Christ.
I can't put a neat little bow around it but when John wrote the word was god, that' what he meant.
