Has there always been so much focus on the villainization of ex members?

I remember being in a meeting and some lady going crazy about her trip to bethel and how she got to met some of the anointed and how Jehovah was usually these people in the last days. I couldn’t help but think doesn’t this dingbat realize it’s all made up by seven men. These partakers don’t really do anything.
It couldn’t have been less than a month later the faithful slave just meant the governing body. I was like no shit Colombo. It was one of the last meeting I went to.

here is my review after watching the ''roles and responsibilities video''.
the video begins with ''congregation members willingly contribute their money to ''jehovah'' to advance kingdom interests.''.

Maybe each cong can send out a couple members to see if they can find a copy of the New Testament with the Tetragrammaton in it.

1975 and 1981?
by Steel inis it true that in 1975 the watchtower falsely predicted the end of the world and a great number of the membership quit and just a few years later they turned disassociation into disfellowshipping?
.

Was disassociation always considered disfellowshippping?

I don’t doubt 1975. I am more interested in how they closed the door to people trying to escape. Was there actually a policy change in 1981?
It just kind of reminds of how they changed the meaning of the faithful slave a few years ago and then a few years later they had that hard ass loyalty assembly.
You always have to remember there is always a slimely underhanded double meaning in everything they do.

I think once you start to see the tetragrammaton directly quoted and applied to Christ in the new testament, maybe there is a reason its an unpronounceable word. Maybe there is a bigger story being told here.
My two cents.

I am surprised when people say they have studied for 3 6 9 months. I didn’t think there was that much material. Take away the boasting and slandering , do they really say anything?
I have never met a JW who knows more than 12 or so verses and a prepackaged sales pitch on trinity, hell, no fighting in war, ex members are bad.
I have had discussions with Elders who I don’t even feel would be capable of teaching a Sunday school class.
