Azor: I did not vote for Trump, so try again. One can agree that illegal immigration is a criminal problem that needs to be aggressively dealt with and still be a liberal.

That "poor mother" was an actress.
Congratulations: You just fell for political propaganda.
Manipulation techniques used in JW Broadcasting videos were also used in that commercial.
EDIT: azor editied his comment so mine seems out of context. However, I'm leaving it up because I don't do edits like that.

Right nowe Trump and his alt right cohorts are demonizing the Mexican immigrant with their rhetoric and with the wall.
No...they're demonizing the ILLEGAL LAW BREAKING LINE CUTTING immigrant. Criminals SHOULD be demonized. These illegals are what we in my proudly MEXICAN-AMERICAN family refer to as mojados (wetbacks).

Sir82 said: A thief I would call a "criminal". He is not an "illegal" person.
When you say "illegal immigrant", you're not saying the person is illegal, you're commenting on their status. Are they a legal resident? No? Then what's the opposite of legal? Illegal.
When I was a kid they were called illegal aliens, because that's what they were by definition and what the authorities referred to them as. Then some La Raza snowflake somewhere decided alien was derogatory and decided immigrant was more PC.
People gave in and said, "OK...Illegal Immigrant.."
Now they don't like "Illegal..." so they want us to say "Undocumented Immigrant..."
Some are even wanting to change that to say "Undocumented Citizen."
When will they say that "Undocumented" is politically incorrect and we should just call them a citizen?
I'M SAYING ALL OF THIS, AND I'M AN AMERICAN OF MEXICAN DESCENT.
Don't believe the lie that all Mexican-Americans support illegal immigration. Many of us, or our family, followed the LAWS OF THE LAND, and came here legally. We don't like line cutters and that's why we call them mojados in a derogatory way. WE CARE ABOUT THE LAWS OF OUR ADOPTED NATION AND HAVE CONTEMPT FOR THOSE THAT DISPLAY CONTEMPT FOR THOSE LAWS.

sir82: I notice how you have no problem declaring selling Social Security Numbers illegal. You shouldn't use that term. Those Social Security Numbers are not illegal...that's dehumanizing. They're undocumented numbers.

Think about why Mojado is derragotory and insulting: because you're implying someone is a lawbreaker or a cheater. It has nothing to do with race. Context: I'm a Mexican. -

Internally rolling my eyes.. Get this
by raven ina bit of an update, last weekend was my great grandmothers funeral, now, she was never a jw, and never was going to be, no matter how hard my mother, and grandmother tried to preach to her, she was the type of person that would kindly accept a wt or a book, but she wouldn't bother reading them.. anyways, she was a great wonderful and inspiring woman, the funeral was extremely sad, she had been a school teacher for over 35 years and a member of various clubs, so there were a lot of folks besides family that attended.. well, anyways i was there and so was my jw mother, stepfather, and grandmother, we were cordial, didn't talk about anything jw related because, it was great grandmothers funeral, not really a time to discuss how i am an evil sinner, or how i've escaped the org by avoiding df'ing, right?
wrong, as i'm sitting waiting for the service to begin, a lady shows up, now- i have known this woman for a long time, apparently she baby sat me as a small child, (like i remember?
) so she isn't someone i was ever close with, but knew of her or when she was around would say hi to and make small talk.. to give you a tid-bit on her personality though, she is one of those crazy jw's.. she claims to have been possessed by a demon, very very wacky on the prophesies, or gb talks, etc.

I'm sorry you had to go through this.
I admire your restraint. It wasn't the time or place for her to do what she did, but it also wasn't the time or place to tell the lady, "DON'T YOU REALIZE YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A CULT MEMBER?"
Ugh...
Again, sorry you had to endure that. I admire your ability to stay calm and not say anything...

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

Look up the reliability of Rasmussen to decide if 59% is Trump's true favorability rating. I'm expecting Conway to announce it very soon.
On Jan 17, President Obama's Job Approval according to Rasmussen Reports was 62%. Do you dispute those numbers also?

Trump is only a madman to those that disagree with him because he's Trump.
I disagree with his stances on Climate Change and Grabbing Genitals, but I agree with him on some points too, like withdrawal from TPP, screening muslim immigrants, and trolling the press. (Honestly, it's a lot of fun to see the press get their panties in a twist.)
He's currently polling at a 59% job approval rate, BTW. So...not everyone agrees with your diagnosis of him being a "madman."

Simon is making sense. Those of you going after him for questioning the narrative need to remember what it was like when you were in the borg and how those that questioned the borg's narrative were treated. Bullied until either they conform to the narrative, or completely dismiss them and shun.
