  i had given serious consideration too leaving the board.

  i rationalised my views on " muslims" we're not held by the majority so i should leave.

  but this would have been wrong thinking, instead i should appreciate the platform i was given to debate with free speech.

  Why is it okay to criticize JWs and be anti-JW, but not okay to criticize Islam and be anti-Islam?

  Why is it so hard for you to recognize the harm that the teachings of the cult of Islam inflicts?

  i just watched the live feed from the russian court room and followed the updates on the russian exjw forum.. just waiting for confirmation from other sources...but, it looks like the final (and expected) result is:.

  banned.

  which means that the wts property in russia now belongs to the russian state..

  So, how does that revenge at the expense of the brainwashed masses feel?

  How do you ban supporters feel knowing that the GB has yet another persecution horse to beat?

  For me? I'm devastated because I know how well this ban will play to the cognitive biases of my family who are still in.

  Could a petition to make shunning illegal work?

  we're currently watching leah remini's series about scientology and the main thing she seems to focus on is the shunning policies of the scientology organization which let's face it are very similar to jw procedure.. i was wondering with all that's in the media recently about bullying could a petition be put together to get the goverment to consider making religiously mandated shunning illegal?

  has such a thing been tried before?.

  Am I right in saying that in Bulgaria it's illegal for someone to be disfellowshipped for having a blood transfusion?

  You aren't disfellowshipped anymore for accepting a blood transfusion. They say that you have disassociated yourself.

  We all know that's the same thing. But it's worded differently so is a loophole.

  You might want to read up on Fascism.

  It can be defined as "a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control"... That's what's occurring. Beyond your semantics, this ban is an affront to liberty and freedom.

  You wanna talk about being myopic? BANS DON'T WORK ON JWs. We already know this. Yet some think banning the entire religion is A-OK in their book.

  it's been brought to my attention that there are xjw that say they support the witnesses and don't think russia should ban them.

  i would just like to remind all of you that jws are guilty of murder, causing higher rates of suicide, covering up child molestation, and keeping members in prisoned because if they leave they loose family, financial support, possible employment etc.. sure their not strapping bombs to their chests but they easily get members to kill themselves with their blood policies.

  they are an extremist group!
