  clearly a late April fools joke,but I wonder if the decision makers of the WTS realise how much improvement there would be in their organisation if this obsessed,judgemental moron was shunted somewhere else? same with Lett, still them them carry on causing embarrassment

  That's what makes me think that there's no secret cabal controlling the org from behind the scenes. It's these morons themselves. Because anyone else that's using them as a front would realize they're a weak link in the chain.

  After many years of faithful service, Brother Anthony Morris III has decided to step down from his responsibilities as a member of the Governing Body and other various comittees.
  

  Brother Morris has served Jehovah faithfully for decades as a full time servant. His experience as one "taking the lead" amongst Jehovah's people will serve him well in his new assignment in the Highlands of Scotland.

  "The time I spent on the Governing Body has been a humbling experience," Brother Morris said in a statement. "I am grateful to Jehovah for giving me the opportunity to serve him in my new assignment and look forward to sampling the local flavor of Scotland.   I agree mostly.

  I'm also thinking about my mindset when I first started doubting. One of the first things I came across was something that I felt at the time was nit picky and conspiracy theory-ish. It turned me off from apostate websites for around 6 months. Probably delayed my exit. I was looking for objective criticism of the organization and my first exposure to apostates online was a lot of speculation with little evidence to back it up.

  Eventually, I came across JW Facts and the rest is History.

  But looking back, I wonder if I would have gained 6 months of my life back had first come across more level-headed criticism like I later found on JWFacts.

  When you've only been free for a few years, 6 months of slavery is a long time.

  Other than this audience, who gives a sht? Who? Is this going to be on 20/20? FoxNews? Is it even going to make it into the DailyMail? Or even blogs beyond the exjw world?

  If not, it’s much ado about nothing.

  Which suggests to me that he didn't want to be seen picking up a haul that size at a local (town of Warwick) store.

  That suggests no such thing. In fact, I was wrong about how far it was. The liquor store is only 13 miles from HQ. In fact, it's farther for people to go to Warwick from Bethel than it is to go to the store Tony Morris was at.

  Heck, I have a mom & pop liquor store 1 mile from my house, but I travel 10 to go to Total Wine & More because they have a better bourbon selection.

  The Liquor store was in New Jersey, nowhere near Warwick HQ.

  The store in question was 32 miles away. And it's specifically branded as a "Discount" liquor store.

  In Europe, that might seem really far...but in America it's not. And it's especially not when you live in upstate NY. It's more than 30 miles from my house to get to the other side of town where I live.
  
  When I was in Patterson Bethel, we'd routinely drive 25-30 miles just to go to the movies or to go to a restaurant on the weekend.

  If the whisky is for gifts why dispose of the boxes? If for a party why 12 bottles of identical spirits?

  At what point in the video did he dispose of the boxes? Some were in boxes, and some weren't.

  I thought this was the case too because others were saying it elsewhere, but I went back and watched, and nowhere does he dispose of boxes.

  What I do know is that while you can invent any story about anyone, it doesn't make it true or believable ... unless you have an audience of fools desperate to believe the sensationalist crap you're peddling.

  It's almost as if cognitive bias doesn't go away just because you leave a cult!

  Like a few of the Tony Backers on this site have said

  Ridiculous to call people that are asking for evidence of the conclusions people are reaching "Tony Backers."

  That's like calling people that want evidence of Russian collusion before making a judgment on it "Trump supporters."
