A New List of the J Versions and Where to Find them
by pizzahut2023 inhi!i am doing a very long and exhaustive study of the "j" versions, based off the new study edition of the new world translation:https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/study-bible/appendix-c/divine-name-new-testament-2/.
this list has about 300 sources, mostly bibles, that the jehovah's witnesses have used to "justify" their insertion of "jehovah" into the new testament.i am doing an excel spreadsheet of where to find digitized copies of these j versions and then some notes on them.. they contain some really interesting renderings, some that would make a jehovah's witness's head spin!for example, in j29:the original aramaic new testament in plain english (an american translation of the aramaic new testament), by glenn david bauscher, seventh edition, australia, 2012which you can find here:.

Shunning.

I know they have a system called 'marking' which is not as severe as shunning (in their warped little minds) but a marked person is still viewed as persona non grata. I was marked before I left (and as I said above, I was not DFd or DAd), at least I could feel the cold shoulders and sneering behind my back. I think it was because I was outspoken (as a 'sister' I should have been ), I always worked the 'do not calls' (just for the craic) and I spoke to the 'unclean' at the back of the hall (the disfellowshipped ones). I could not just walk past somebody without saying hello, and we were told to follow Christ. I remember asking an elder whether he believed Jesus would ignore the disfellowshipped ones and walk past them without a word of encouragement. This elder told me I shouldn't ask such questions as it showed a rebellious spirit....... go figure.

This is very true - you only see what they want you to see. I can't believe how I sat through the book study when we did the Revelation book. When I look back over the text it is truly awful - so glaringly inaccurate. If you open up the Bible book of Revelation and read it alongside the JW book, it seems so obvious - but I didn't see it at the time. You read the answer from the paragraph just as they expect you to, and you are not encouraged to think - just mindlessly reel off the answers as given. I know all the 'study aids' are bad, but the JW Revelation book in particular is very bad - it twists and turns like a frenzied eel and takes scripture after scripture out of context. I must have been totally braindead! I am so angry with myself for not thinking! All I had to do was think for myself.
