Are you asking to know or asking to just mock? Wishful thinking is leaving chance and not having a source for which it will come about. Faith in God is Saying what you want, Knowing what you need and knowing that God can and will provide it for you in the perfect time. Not our time. Kind of like the law of attraction which is correct up until it tries to convince you that you are your own God. Which I refuse to even say cause I can't make a human being with my own hands or the earth or the moon or the stars. so, I am obviously not God and will never be.

Like "Doubting Thomas" in the Bible he was one that needed evidence and Jesus gave it to him. All the events in the Bible have been historically proven and current events around the world are in the works before our eyes and are listed also in the Bible. Now if you decide to ignore the proof then that's on you, the same way it was on the people during the days of Noah, Moses, and sodom and Gomorrah.

God sent the Holy Spirit during pentecost to sit upon the ones praying and waiting for Jesus promise and the Holy Spirit was able to speak in tongues that were not their own native language but of the ones who witnessed this happening and they understood and heard the word and were amazed. That day 3000 people believed and of course their were those that needed more proof cause not everyone followed. But not everyone will because the blind will see and the ones who see will become blind.

Salvation is individual. Thank God we don't have the responsibility of having to judge the world. If you want to know more. Study it. Meditate on it and pray to Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself.

I know and accept that the Bible is God's word and it will and does speak for itself. I seriously recommend that you seek Him and His word. I can only explain my beliefs but you need to experience it for yourself. If you choose not to then your questions are in vain, for they are not very edifying for those on here that are really searching for directions to the Father and long for a relationship with Him.

I still love everyone on this page who participates, despite our differences in belief. But keep in mind that there are people on both ends reading this and we need to tread lightly so that we are not guilty of causing someone to stumble.

Bro-Jo,

What I meant by us is the human race. Since Jesus died for us, I have not been disciplined like what was explained in the Bible, but I have put myself through a lot of heartache and pain from my poor decisions to lead a life that was contrary to the God's principles. But when I was in my own hell and contemplating suicide, I heard His voice say to me "Don't do it because I love you". At that moment I felt a great weight lifted off of me and all negativity just vanish. From that moment for the following 6 days I read the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). My eyes were opened. I then studied the Word for the next 3 months out of 5 different Bibles (3 of which were JW Bibles). My journey has been an amazing one since. I have been corrected by the word of God and He has been changing me, making me new and getting rid of my old ways. I hated to be wrong in my old life. I was very stubborn, selfish, arrogant, and hardhearted. Since my baptism. I have turned to Proverbs and the things I would not want to hear from other people, God had right there in black in white confirming how wrong my views were. Now I have learned to become more forgiving, Loving, Selfless, humble and grateful. Now I have come a long way but I still have a ways to go. It doesn't change over night. It's a process. But I can't really put into words how happy I am in my new life that has accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

God is only hidden to those who are hard hearted. If you believe and you draw near, and He will reveal Himself and draw near. You have to walk by faith and not by sight. But in my case, He has revealed Himself to me. I heard His voice, I have felt His presence and He has come to me in my dreams. Not all the time. But in the right times. It's something that is individual just like our salvation.

Blondie,

There are things that God allows to happen in order to have His word come to pass. Which even strengthens my comment that He has shown love to those undeserving from the beginning. So He isn't an anger mean God cause that would make Him bad. But, He is "good" and "Love".

NIV Matthew 16:25

For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

There are many other scriptures but I try to keep it as simple as possible for this page cause it's better to fellowship with your brothers and sisters in person to really get deep on the topics.

When God gives us what we don't deserve that is an example of His Grace. And when God spares us from the bad we actually deserve that is Him giving us Mercy. When he gives us both, that is a blessing.

Remember He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus had to finally walk on earth and redeem us with the price of his blood, in order to give a chance, cause if not, we were about to seriously be done away with all together. Thats how much we have fallen away from Him.

many of you have asked about my story, so here it is.

it's a bit long lol.

however i still loved jeremy but because he wasn’t a witness i knew i could never be with him and have my family.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is one that I am familiar with. You are not alone. Just don't let the religion steal you away from God. Continue to read the Bible daily. But not the JW bible. I have read from many different bibles. NKJV is one that I find pretty easy to read. But you can pick whichever. Once you gain a personal relationship with Jesus, you will be lead into the right direction and the things you once found so important will be less of a priority because Your individual salvation is the goal. The voids you once felt will finally be filled. You will be happy and make others happy just by the way you carry yourself. You will bring hope to many who are lost cause your testimony is strong. Stay focused on Jesus.

In the Old Testament God showed love to those who were obedient. There are many of situations where He showed love although He was upset. One example is in Genesis. When Adam and Eve sinned, He didn't just destroy them or be totally angry, He instead made clothes to cover them since they now saw a problem with being in their skin only. Second example was when Cane killed Able. He didn't react like just an angry God. He made Cane live with that. A third example is when He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. He allowed Abraham to question Him a bunch of times and because Abraham loved Lot and God considered Abraham a friend, He spared Lot and his family. The list goes on and on. The best way to answer your question is to compare any good parent that wants the best for their children. Being a parent isn't easy and you can't always be the nice guy if you are trying to steer your child in the right direction. Jesus is just like His Father. They are one. The time Jesus had here on earth was not to judge or punish, it was to show them in the flesh and give them a chance to choose right from wrong. God doesn't change His views, points, commandments, etc. He changes His approach. Not all humans learn the same way. Jesus does make it clear that when the day of judgement comes it will be the most horrific experience for those who will be destroyed. He will not be laughing or smiling with the people who have become so consumed with their flesh that they totally disregard Him and His commands.

What I noticed is that many people will question the Word because they feel they can put human logic to a God that is limitless. To put human logic to all that God has written is like putting God in a box. God can, will, and does make our impossibles possible. Because tomorrow (on this earth) is not promised today, then wouldn't it be reasonable to say that the end is right around the corner for each of us individually? That is why He states that our salvation is individual. I believe His Word and I believe that the Bible is (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). Now should we be around to witness the great tribulation and Jesus coming down to destroy the evil that exists, then so be it, but I would like to hope that I am obedient enough to be taken before that happens and that I actually make it to my Heavenly Father's house where He has prepared a place for us. But to answer the question of why the Gospel was written down if the end was meant to be so soon, is because God longs to save us. Not destroy us. He longs to guide us and have a personal relationship with us like any loving parent. It's one of the ways He speaks to us, and those who read it and apply it, can only benefit from it. It is then that you will know what He means by finding rest in Him. A true peace and sound mind that you can't get anywhere else. Hope this helps someone reading. I know Jesus is real. I know because He has changed my life. I have had knowledge but no knowledge compares to the relationship and sound mind you get from applying what He speaks. I pray all of you experience Him the way I have and more. Just remember that He is our Heavenly Father, in the past He has been angry with us and He has disciplined us. Nobody doing wrong likes to be corrected. But if you do right, you have nothing to worry about. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. It's humans that have to change. God doesn't change but His approach may change out of love for us and understanding that we are from dust.

What I noticed in those scriptures is that they are all speaking about Jesus but in Colossians it says he made all "Other" things (which JW will stand firm on that) but they also say in John chapter 1 that he made "all" things. When I studied with all their bibles it shows when the word "other" wasn't in there, when they added it and when they made it as though the word has always been there. Taking away or adding is wrong according to the word. specially since there's a difference between making all things and making all other things.

Why doesn't the Watchtower Society never study the Bible cover to cover?

in the 40 years as a jehovah's witness, i never read the bible cover to cover.

the three meetings a week were broken up with book studies, awake and watchtower magazines,and ministry& field service meetings, all written by the watchtower society.

never did we read any chapters from genesis to revelation and discuss the true meaning of what we just read.

WTS was a book publishing company. They used to print the KJV until they decided to make and publish their own Bible. Charles Russell calculated and made all his predictions on when the end would come by using the Egyptian pyramids. It's in their history books.

This was a big thing for me. I know for a FACT that the word "other" was added by the JW and is not int he original scriptures. Take a look at the 1967 NWT.
