  EU is just a way for a few states (France, Germany) to get rich on the back of smaller satellite states.

  First they make sure the smaller states have no way to regulate their imports and then outcompete local production with mass-produced goods; then when they go bankrupt (like Greece) they destroy the economy with "austerity" and transfer control of the important assets to large finance centered in the big countries like Germany.

  This is why the Euro is so important. It removes any control of finance from the smaller countries and ensure the undemocratic elements that control the EU can dictate their financial policy.

  EU is a supranational mafia family controlled by international finance. Now they have set their eyes on Scotland... I hope England do what is right to protect the Scots.

  And before you mention Scandinavia, these countries are not oil-based the same way Scotland would be. Scotland without England would be Tourism, oil and Whiskey. Fine if you want to visit not fine if you live there...

  @Slimboyfat: Your argument is ignoring basic facts. suppose oil rebounds. Scotland will be a small country relying on natural resources for export to survive. it would basically be an arab oil state.

  These states are very good for the extremely wealthy who control the oil production, and they are good for the people who import and use the oil cheaply because they can bribe and influence the wealthy. This is what is happening across the arab world.

  Scotland would be a small satelite state to the greater EU.. the working class in Scotland would suffer tremendously while France, Germany, and the rest of the globalist elite laughed their asses off. This is pure power play: UK booted out the globalists, now the globalists want REVENGE.

  England should never allow this. NEVER. It would be tantamount to treason/surrender and hurt Scotland for generations.

  A vote can never be allowed for 20 years and England should consider the Scottish nationalist movements as being possibly influenced by hostile powers.

  @Slimboyfat: The distinction between country/city is meaningless lawyering. London could make it on it's own as opposed to Scotland so that's a reason for Scotland to stay and London to leave. See I too can make up these silly arguments!

  You sound like a spoiled brat who want things his way or else you throw a fit and demand a reelection until it comes out your preferred way.

  England saves you from financial ruin every year and England saved you from going under with the rest of the EU. You are welcome and God bless the Queen!

  Very true. I too have seen the numbers. Scotland would be a failed state similar to Greece within a year if it went independent. The numbers don't lie: Scotland simply can't make it on their own except for a HUGE England subsidy and they thank England by ungratefully calling for election after election. I am lost for words, some people just don't know what is best for them.

  @Slimboyfat: The Scotts had their say. They had a free an open once-in-a-lifetime election and made a decision. Why don't you just accept that?

  That there are now some who won't accept the outcome shows emotional immaturity just like how liberals can't accept that Trump won in the US.

  Personally I find this anti-democratic streak very worrying and reminiscent of fascism... the same people calling for an election would never accept an election to join the UK again. I don't get why they are even taken serious.

  Large house prices happens bc of the free market. If you don't like the rent prices you should move.

  UK Terrorists attacks

  i don't know if anyone has talked about this yet, forgive me if they have.

  but i am just so, so sad that yet more innocent lives have been so brutally taken.

  we've now had three attacks in three months and there has been countless terror attacks stopped by the police.. my jw acquaintances see these attacks as proof the end is near.

  I must agree slightly. If nothing is done, the end may very well be near for civilization in many countries, especially in Europe.

  ppl must wake up and realize we are facing an EXISTENTIAL threat that will require DRASTIC measures.
