ok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.

if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.

however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

I don't think they have to tell the rank and file to wear blinders...I think most of them are going to put them on out of shame...remember the org. is clean....only other religions have pedophiles not God's org. Oh yeah, they will put on blinders alright...to hide in shame...

See what happens when you point fingers at others...what's the famous one witnesses use...you point a finger but how many fingers point back at you.

I think more folks would not be so hard on the witnesses if they didn't say they were God's only channel, that's where they shoot themselves in the foot...

I would love to ask this question to the friends...if you found out this wasn't God's org., what would you do? Because I do believe for most that's the only reason they accept all the new lights and whatever else is handed down from the top....All they are showing is that God is fickle....This past week's WT is another new understanding...don't ask me to explain it...because I didn't even know about the old understanding...

Has the commercial aired again ? I haven't seen it yet...

I'm wondering how the elders/org. are going to put this fire out....The more they fan it the more it will burn....I wonder if they are going to try to contact the media to pull the ad....or the law firm...maybe the org. will sue...

How do you feel they are going to play this out....This was an ad on TV...here you are a JW...up late for whatever reason..then pow....you see this Ad...The org. wants you to see it as persecution or just keep your mouth closed, don't discuss it with the others in the congregation....again, the org. is clever...again, wonder how they will spin this to us in the congregation.....

Question on the sun created in the fourth day

then in the fourth day he created the sun, the moon and the stars.

of course, it did not actually happen, but what did the writer have in mind?.

Just because the Bible is not the book JWs told you it was doesn't make the Bible wrong. It makes the JWs wrong.

Exactly, I could not have said it better myself....JW's have no idea who God is....to them God is who they want to get their approval from....They don't know that there is nothing you can do to gain his approval, except be a pretty decent sort of person, but kind to others...that type of thing...but JW's have an approval gene that stems from their environment, their home life etc.

Again, you said it in a nutshell. JW's haven't any idea who God is...as matter of fact many don't.

Hi All,

As I said before, it's not an apostate tv station....it wasn't that when any of us saw it we were looking at an apostate site....no sir, we were just watching tv. Elders can think what they want,,,why would a law firm out of the blue advertise for child abuse in the JW org. I think everybody thought the org. would be exposed by the ARC in Australia, big court cases, a lot of media an paper exposure, but nothing made a dent in the US, now here comes this law firm, right here in the US and bam, the org. is exposed or should I say this ad is planting seeds in folks....why would they run an ad if there weren't any sort of truth to it....this child abuse has been an elephant in the room for a long time. Folks knew about it but afraid to talk about it...and don't think the friends have not seen the ads, when they see or know something they shut tight...because we all know witnesses can't hold water.

They can call it persecution if they want but the average JW will know what it really is...just to afraid to say it...

Hi All,

No matter how you look at it...it's so awesome to see how this all works....everything in it's proper place....This is God's playground and we smart humans are discovering what God made....because God knows we need to know how things work because in the end we don't want to give credit to anything but our magnificent selves, we say, there is no God, we see what he has created and then we try to see well if God created it, maybe I can do it too....Because most of us don't want there to be a God because we want to do just what we want to do...we don't want to be accountable in our lives...we want to do just as we please...& if we say there is no God, then we have science which makes sense but doesn't hold us accountable..science tells us that if we shoot someone in a certain area they may die because scientifically if you shoot a person here, but not accountability..knowing or thinking there is something or someone holding you accountable to not shoot this person...

You can look at Gods word as a bunch of does and don't or you can look at it as a book of Love....The entire Ot was God pleading with the Jews to come back to him after all he did for them...doesn't that sound like someone who loves someone even though they may have committed adultery or whatever yet one of the spouses is so forgiving and pleads....God hung out with the Jews as long as he could take it...so he looked to those who were not Jewish...and here it is...NT is about love...love for God, love for yourself and most of all love of everyone, no matter where they come from or who they are....help our fellow man...no one should suffer in these times...folks got too much, go to city dumps...see what folks throw away...so all that to say...how can science with out conscience and passion help those who are less fortunate then others...

The message of the bible is to be as good as you can and every day be a better person then the day before and if you can help someone, then do it...it don't take a rocket scientist to know when someone is in need...sometimes we humans are too smart for our own good.

Whether the sun came first or the light came first...guess what? We got light....

We should be grateful for this life however good or bad it may be...many of us take life for granted....we all are typing from our wonderful computers in our nice warm houses...eating and whatever else...snug and all comfy, but right now, someone is dying from lack of food and water...there are so many deprived people in the world we waste our time debating whether there is a God or not...does it matter...if you see something do something....

Hi,

I'm not a scholar or anything like that...I noticed that as well. God is light...The elements were made for mankind...If this creation story is true and you want to believe in God...The bible is a simple book, it's us humans that want to dissect it and try to make sense of if....If you read Rev. 21:23: And the city has no need of sun nor moon to shine on it, for the glory of God illuminated it and it's lamp was the lamb.....Now for those who are not angry with the org. anymore but still believe in God....this is what I think....God created everything...he didn't need no light, stars nor moon, all these elements were made for us....we need the sun for heat and the moon to light the sky...these elements were put in place for us...what use is the Sun and Moon for God...Also, again for those who still believe in God...See Rev. 22:5: Also, night will be no more, and they have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for Jehovah God will shed light upon them....Once again, we see here that God is light....The org. can't explain it nor acknowledge the God in Genesis....The earth was created just the way the bible says...first there was light...God is God all by himself...verse 17 says Thus God put them (luminaries) to shine upon the earth...verse 15 mentions the same thing...God didn't need no light to do what he did....we need the light...if this story of God is true...then how awesome God really is....When you read Genesis and see just how creation came to be.....then one can understand God...God just created everything to re-create itself...EVERYTHING..if he didn't he'd have to create everyday...everything has it's own seed. The society doesn't grasp this in Genesis...they preach and teach about God but this account in Genesis goes right over their heads...I pointed it out to a brother one day....he's pretty smart...so when I showed him, I was just pointing out how awesome God is and he said, well it's not that God is light it's the sequence of events...phooey...I didn't say that to him but I thought Man, you are so smart, you know the scriptures from back to front...but you can't see what these scriptures are saying...but the org. does say some will be blind...I like finding some of these gems...but keep them to myself...I believe in God, not the God that man says he is..but the God that I know is love because he sent his son because he loves us....and I hope for the resurrection, because to tell you the truth....I would like to come back and live a carefree life...sure it may be a fairytale, but it beats thinking....YOU'LL NEVER COME BACK...

I don't know if God is real or not....I choose to believe....I see many errors not in the bible but in man....It's not the places of worship that make people leave and not believe in God, it's the folks in these places that run folks out.

This is how I see Genesis...and commented for those who may still believe in God but not the org. Yet, those of you who don't believe in God, I do not judge...to each his own...

Thoughts on African Americans and Slavery

let's start by saying that slavery is of course a terrible thing, one of the worst crimes imaginable, and that "slavery" rarely implies good treatment, anything noble or defensible.

nowadays, even god doesn't escape judgement from our enlightened views with passages about slavery in the bible usually glossed over because they are shameful.. but not all slavery was equal.. because of the media, movie industry, racial tensions in the us regularly shown on the news and our taught history, i think most people's knowledge and idea of slavery is that of the north atlantic slave trade where white people took africans to work in cotton fields.

this idea is probably also re-enforced because the largest group of descendents of slaves we see today are african americans (usually in the us or places they subsequently migrated to).. but it's incomplete.. it's only when you look into it more that you discover that there was much more to the slave trade than that, otherwise it would have been just called "the slave trade" and not "the north atlantic slave trade".. some 12.5 million slaves were taken from africa to the us with just under 11 million surviving the trip so it obviously took a terrible toll immediately, even before any maltreatment once they landed in the americas where conditions and treatment were truly awful.

So what's people to be called....humans... & of course there are places like America, but there is no place like America. It's a place where you can make $$$ and then go back where you came from...I ride the train and taxi's daily, more folks from every where than you can count. I don't think you agreed with my opinions....and that's just what they are....

Hi All,

I was being sarcastic....I know this isn't persecution, but the org. will see it as such. Because they would never admit that there was child abuse and that they never told the police...Child abuse is everywhere....so the org. doesn't understand that folks ain't angry because they have child abusers in the org, but it's how they handle it that. They will do anything to make the org. appear clean. They don't want the friends to think of that. They don't give the friends credit to think ok, we have pedophiles but why wasn't the police alerted. See they know we think these things but because we are afraid to say it, the org. feels they can go on hiding...because the friends are forbidden to say or ask anything..

I think it's amazing how this fire started in NYC.....a little ole law firm...who knew...now I'm not saying this is Gods work but......

Many of the friends will have seen it or saw it, but they will never mention it...but what's really interesting when you come to think about it....you can't be called an apostate...for just looking at regular TV. The papers that said it too can't say they were apostate newspapers...nope, no one can be accused of getting this info from an apostate site...

I wonder if this is the beginning of a changed org???

Let cut through the chase here...Slavery is and will always be about free labor and money...It has nothing to do with mankind at all....as always..

This country was built by robber barons.... but it's the only country I know where you can talk about the gov't and not get arrested....why so folks come from other countries then want to have a parade in America to celebrate the country they just left...I could go on....Don't get me wrong, it's a great place but I'm a citizen and know exactly how America rolls....

Native Americans, now let's just break that down...the word native implies that person is from that place...Native Americans...isn't that redundant....they were the original Americans, so what's the need to add native in front of their name...they should be called American American, right?...We always have to identify those who are not of the Caucasian persuasion...African American, what about folks who are from the West Indies...they are not African Americans, Latin American's. and so on...

Read the history of America....again, Slavery is all about the almighty dollar.....most people who have never had slaves in their family or the background of slavery, how would they know...most immigrants stopped off at Ellis Island...there are records of folks family arriving...regarding slaves....they came by boat but never Ellis Island...Unless you are a black person, you'll never get it...unless you get stopped just because you have a certain type of car, you won't understand...when the cops pull you over just because, you'll never understand. Just like Black folks will never know what it's like to be white...oh yeah, they'll get a taste of it, but the privilege of it no...

Jehovah (God, wonder why Gods' name is a Jewish name, ah, that's another topic all together). God changed the rules...in the OT you had to jump through hoops to please God, festival of this or that, go in the room with incense, don't enter this room, kill the lamb on this day don't cut it that way and such....Now God has changed the Game plan...he's put before mankind to take the place of all this religious antics & said....Believe I'm sending my son...not Michael but my son, to clear up all this stuff you humans have made up on your own to please me..so I'm changing the game....Believe in My Son, Jesus Christ, tell everyone you know about him...check him out, see how he lives on earth...he's an example of what I want you people to imitate...you know be good to one another....yeah, read your bible, see how Jesus treated folks...could you do that for me...again, I've changed the game....Believe in my son, believe he rose from the dead, believe I raised him from the dead and he walk among you...Believe he gave his life because I asked him to, don't you remember he said he really wanted to do it but he would do it cause of me his father (God). So people, those that believe their is a God, that's all I'm asking...Just believe in my son, don't believe he & I are the same, he really is my son, just wanted to show you what I would do for you...now I know some of you don't believe in me nor the Bible, that's your choice...

So all that to say is that God wants us to believe in his son Christ Jesus & the resurrection. & if a fairy land mind, wouldn't we all like to come back and be happy ? Who wouldn't
