Last Sunday's WT Study re Anxiety

this article could be seen as a nice read compared with the banality and repetitiveness of many articles in recent years.

however, several areas in the article still troubled me.

Hi,

All of you are right...the org. creates the anxiety, then tells you how to deal with it...something like what they do in ad agencies....The org. just tries to keep you so busy you don't see the slight of hand.

Anxiety comes to all sorts of folks....it's natural, for some it stays and for some it's a fleeting moment. We all feel anxiety at times...Some friends stay up all night wondering about stuff they can't control have anxiety...and you know why ? They don't trust or have the faith they boast about. That's the heart of anxiety, not trusting...whatever. For us that believe in God, we have anxiety because God ain't moving fast enough for us..we anx, because we think we can handle it...and tell God, I got this...I'll call you when I really need you...When God is saying...I'm there with you anytime....just ask me...

Most witnesses are worriers anyway...they can't wait for the new system...The org. plays on folks who have a guilty gene....so no wonder many never feel worthy...they never felt worthy at anytime of their life...so now they are a part of an org. that recognizes them, they start to feel worthy, then at every meeting...are we doing enough. I just sit there and answer to myself....yep Bro. I'm doing the best I can, & I know because Jehovah told me so.

Got to take man with a grain of salt....oh yeah, the org. appeals to folks who can't deal with life...as soon as they get an ache or pain, or any inconvenience...the first thing that comes out of their mouths, ah, this really helps me to appreciate the new system...I say really, life is not perfect, everybody is going through something one way or another...if we as JW's get sick or whatever the same thing is happening to everyone else in the world...JW's think nothing should happen to them or if it does...it's only them...persecution complex...I really want to say to some that say that...so what about your newborn child...see witnesses think the end is a fantasy, God will just get rid of bad people....All I know is JW's don't have the stamina for life...they don't take the trials they go thru to make them stronger....they are sheep like but in the wrong areas...

And so the persecution begins...the WT has been predicting the end since forever....but they claim that Jesus gave us the signs what to look for...in Luke ( I forget the chapter and verse) but it gave the signs of what to look for but it then says, these will not happen until they are persecuted...so I think that's why the ARC hasn't leaked fully to the WT world. They are saving this incident to prove the end is coming....(again)...it's like an ace in their pockets, and they aren't ready to play this card just yet...waiting for the proper time...

It does seem to take a while to expose the org. but it took a long time for the Catholics to comply...they too had concerned for their image instead of children. What the WT don't get is that if they do tell the truth, many of the friends will stay, they have no where else to go, but the difference, it will take away their arrogance...and humble them...even after the Catholics where exposed...they lost some of their congregation, but their numbers are still strong...when Russell died, didn't many leave the WT...now look...now they have approx. 8 million...don't think that number is correct, but let them have it...it makes them feel good.

Imagine, if this is exposed....there are approx. 8 million folks with egg on their faces....

If there is a God, (I believe there is) maybe he's exposing the org. little by little....one would think God would use the USA for child abuse...but he chose a place down under....a tiny ripple in the water...

If the org. wasn't so interested in their reputation they might not be half bad..... Religion....it's a business.

June 2017 Watchtower - Jehovah's Sovereignty is at stake if you disagree with us

four years ago the watchtower made the following demand.

all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

they are not content with obedience and in the upcoming june watchtower they have this to say -15. how does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for jehovah’s way of ruling?15 what is our response to divinely authorized headship?

At Warkwick, they have a big caldron and they mixing and stirring the drink for us the Jim Jones beverage...

It's a set-up, they know in a while the ARC thing will hit the media, somehow....so the WT is putting themselves in place....the God's Kingdom Rules book is to endear the org. to us to give us it beginnings. This is to soften are hearts towards them...oh, look the org. has been through so many changes...but what they are telling us is just the tip of the ice berg...they aren't telling us the nitty gritty of the org....they are telling a few negative things about the org. and the friends, but that's just to appear humble....

With all the directions the Elders get from the org, they won't know what to direct us to do....they can't keep up with this chariot....

Witnesses think they are protecting God's name....they really think they are married to him and carry his name. They don't read the scriptures. God said he will make his name known...

Right now all this self promotion of the org. is like a finger in the dam....the water is the child abuse, and they can't hold back the water forever...

When we go out in service, most of the friends are obedient but most always say, why are we going to this area, we were here last week, why did he put those two together, the friends only obey the elders when they feel like it. I know I'm a witness....they will tell me....well it's whatever the brother says, but they don't follow that same advice.

The brothers can't even get the names straight from the stage...need I say more?

This is how I think JW's think about this authority thing....God owns the Territory and Satan has taken over the things in the territory...that's the best I could come up with...

See Jehovah puts everything in place and then Satan influences the people who Jehovah put in charge...see you get it now...LOL...

JW's are just people....they are not as special as they think THEY ARE. So whatever folks are doing in the world JW's are doing it too. When they come to the hall, they drape on the new personality then when the meeting is over they take it off and do what the rest of humankind is doing...living the best way they can.

I'm a JW, the more I'm around them the more I see they are just talk....They pick and choose what they will or will not do that the society tells them...Most of the time when they tell you what they are against and how Jehovah said you shouldn't or should do this...that's for you...they do what they want...and then don't talk about it.

Hi,

No JW's don't vote but take advantage of every thing the government offers. They know every trick in the book on how to get over yet not vote...they are a clear example...they bite the hand the feeds them... Let's not mention the USA where they can speak freely because of our laws....the very place that allows them to be who they are, they have the nerve not to want to participate...many have died for the freedom to practice any faith you want here.

I'm a JW, many of them go to pantries and other gov't agencies, then say, it's a matter of conscience but let you do something, like donate your clothes to Charity,then they say the org. doesn't approve....then I say, well what about God, what would he say....silence...

How brave you are to be able to come to this site to tell your story. As someone said, it helps you and others to tell your story. Many think it's them...am I the only one that see it....Thank goodness for sites like these...

You must have seen and experienced a lot being an elder a lot of behind the scenes stuff...I am happy you know ttatt. You are right to be sure your wife's health is more stable because depending on her love for the org. how she will receive your decision. I mentioned how much she loves the org. I think many get it confused...the bottom line does she love God more than the org.

I hope you are not upset with yourself for the time you were an active witness and elder, do you know along the way, even if you spoke to a person and they didn't accept the doctrine, who knows you may have changed their life just a little...you may have spoken to someone who was on drugs, or whatever, you don't know what effect you may have had on someone down the line of your service...you may have even brought a smile to someone's face one day....don't discount your service...if you did it for the org....then I see how you feel disappointed, because you can never please man, just slip once & they hold it against you. If you still believe in God, not the God the org. portrays the God of the Bible and his son Jesus...this scripture comes to mind: 1 Cor. 4:5: Therefore, do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes. He will bring the secret things of darkness to light and make known the intentions of the hearts, and then each one will receive his praise from God. I want to point out, the intentions of heart...and Heb. 4:12: For the word of God is alive and exerts power.....last verse, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart. ....

1799, your intentions when you believed, was purely innocent, you didn't want to mislead anyone, you just wanted to show ones a different life, then the ones they lived. Some took the bait and some didn't. Know this, God knows you meant well. God is nothing like man. With God, even if we intend to do something with the right motive, and you miss the mark, he knew you had good intentions...this is proven by the book of Psalms...We know that David was a man after God's heart...we also know David was a bad boy, but God saw his heart...now if David was judged by man, even though he won all the wars and conquered many nations for man...but because he committed adultery and murder, today if man judged him we would not be reading Psalms today, If a monument was erected of David, man would have knocked it down, But because God saw Davids' heart and intentions...that's why today we are still reading Psalms....why, because God doesn't judge like man...he sees the heart....now I know I've gone on and on...I'm just saying this if you still believe in God....

I think many put too much worship and allegiance to the org. more than God, because when the org. does something or has mislead, folks fall away from God...& how many times have we read, man cannot direct their own steps...I guess for some the org. is the Mom they never knew....the org. shows a certain type of conditional love and if you never experienced love ....conditional love is better than no love at all.

Take care of your wife and family. Show them love and support. They won't expect that because most witness think if you leave you'll go rogue, but what they don't get is that you really learn to love if you don't love the way the org. teaches...

Enjoy this journey....don't let the org. turn you away from God...but if you don't believe in God, that is your choice..this site welcomes all..

US news article about low JW education causing problems in life - interesting

good article, a must read, from my perception.. i did a bachelor and master since 2001, having the same opinion, for a better present and future and for my and family sake: being an educated person, gaining respect and being proud of what i could realize in life.

I didn't read the article it wouldn't come up. But higher education is required today. At one time for the Sanitation Dept, and Police Dept. you only needed a high school diploma pass the test and you got a job, now today, you have to some college credits...but this college thing is to weed out those who they think won't have it...but surprise, a lot of people of color are going to college....college is required so you can have only certain folks apply for the jobs...just like people judge you on the newspaper you read, to be considered the suchy much, you read WSJ (Wall Street Journal) or NYT (New York Times)...that shows you are a person of a certain caliber...Daily News, New York Post and USA Today and the Enquirer...those are pedestrian papers....

JW's get higher education, at least the ones I know....Some don't because they don't want to show how illiterate they are so they put down higher education...Plus you know how witnesses want to appear holy..so they love that scripture where Jesus says, foxes have dens and birds of heaven have nest, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay down his head....that's what motivates some witnesses.....they want to be poor and down trodden, they think they will make points with God...

Live like a bum, to make points with God...as witnesses say...."How commendable".

Again, at my hall, most folks are educated and they young ones are going to college and their parents are encouraging them to go...and they don't pay attention to any of them biddies at the hall....telling folks not to go to college, yet when they need some dough, they go the college grad to borrow....

A bunch of nuts an users, not all but most, when someone comes to you and says sister or brother, secure your purse and pockets.

Wachtower study february 20 - the stress factor

attending for family reasons, and listen in "oversee" modus to the many comments during the watchtower study.. in my opinion it was a self help article on the subject stress amongst the flock.. leave it all to jehovah and help your self with the bullet points.. what i noticed from the comments is the lot of stress mentioned.

comments after comment they told how they handle their problems.

it is a real toppic amongst them.

In Your Opinion Do Today's Elders Recognize That The Religion Is BS?

i always wondered that while i was in especially when i was an elder.

i recognize that some people,elders included are brain-dead.

but do you think that the average older today knows it's all nonsense?

Thanks, that's how I see. I love men, they are wonderful creatures...but if you observe them instead of trying to change them you'll see how they roll...Men, love to look at women....and women love to look at men...but that is suppressed in the org. Someone told me along time ago, just because you are on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu.

What man wouldn't want to be in the company of a bunch of females...and can talk to them and smell them even if their wife is there...that's a fringe benefit...all these women...awwww...lol...imagine all the pheromone in the hall, it's so intoxicating ....men are visual, that's why in the snow, they won't cancel the meetings, because they want to come to the hall to get their man on...they can look at sister so and so...& say how much he loved her comment...& he is set for the nite, he can now go home and tolerate his wife even be intimate, because he got a glimpse of sister fine....single brothers that are looking but can't find, at least they can come to the hall and smell us sisters even though he may not be a good pick...

I hear you, that's why I would like to leave, I can't preach something that is the truth one day and not the next...I avoid trying to get bible studies..I just go on return visits with folks....like you say, don't want to be responsible for someone else's spiritual well being.....no not me...
