When JWs Pray for Houston

when i hear prayers given by brothers why do they only pray for other jws not all people??

i remember hearing a comment from my mother saying 4000 jws are affected by this...and i'm thinking yes that is sad but what about the tens of thousands other people affected?

too me it just doesn't seem right to just pray for jws but to pray for all victims.

A couple of words come to mind...THEY ARE IMBRED...& a couple of more words...they don't care about anyone until it happens to them....

Everybody knows God...especially when trouble comes, even if not...what about a new hairdo or new outfit...OMG...don't everybody say it ????...I think so...

A long time ago, I asked a brother to pray for a friend of mine...he said he couldn't because they were not a study or a witness...and another sister told me the same thing...well...don't you know..at one of the midweek meetings when it was time to study the bible study book don't remember if it's this Kingdom Rule book or the one before, well one of the questions was should we pray for others...there is was in black and white directly from the scriptures....YES...I looked at both of their body language...they were stiff as boards...I'm a newbie and they mislead me...well, it's not their fault, they were mislead and don't have the sense to read the bible for themselves..

So yes JW's are supposed to pray for all...When I get a minute, I post where I saw this...I told this story before, so many of you may have read it before, but this topic fits best...

1 John 5:13-20 Jesus is the true God?

one of the main things i am trying to wrap my head around after waking up to the nonsense of jw.org is the deity of christ.. jws go out of their way to ignore him, it seems to me.

they make him out to be an angel or something.

yet, if one simply reads the scriptures, you get an entirely different picture.. doing some bible reading this morning i accidentally (long story) read the latter part of 1 john 5 and it's good stuff.. after reading it in the niv i read it in nwt and it is still pretty amazing even in that abomination of a translation.. it says.... 13 i write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the son of god.

Most folks like the King James Version of the Bible, that way they can prove Jesus is God...One of the most debated scriptures is John 1:1...The Word was with God and the word is a god....small god...NYT, now let's look at KJV:In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....these scriptures really confuse folks...The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.1John 5:Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God....did God have to Born himself...1John 5:5: Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1John 5:9-10-If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

So, Is Jesus God or the Son of God ? You read it for yourself...Ask yourself...Can God die ? Would you give up your child for anybody...NO, you wouldn't...you wouldn't give up a ham sandwich at 11 o'clock at night...that's why people don't want to believe in Jesus, because most humans are selfish...maybe just maybe God did give his son for us...when a person looses their child don't you think God knows what that is like...he watched his son be tortured for nothing but for us...God watched his son...so when folks say, God, where were you when they killed my child...God can identify and say same place I was when they killed mine...but I had to let it happen to save you...

Why are we fighting about God being Jesus or not...Jesus gave his life for us...end of story...God said whoever believe in my son....God can take care of himself...he wants us to worship someone who died for us...now whether this is true or not..who knows...

The words are sacrifice...& unselfishness....Words that humans find it hard to live by....so it's easier to fight about if there is a Trinity or not...The bible is a simple book but the hard part is to do it...

Joel Osteen's Church is a Cult too ??

it's being said all over social media that joel osteen hasn't opened his mega church for refuge during the storm, pictures are showing this area is not flooded.

i made a few comments myself saying that the jws only help their own in time of need but this god fearing man isn't helping anyone.. just what religion is he and his followers, i guess it's one of those non-denomination churches that collect a shitload of bucks to him and wife so he can afford the glamorous life, nothing new of course, i thought he was just a bit different than the others, fooled me..

Hi All,

With all the religions in the world or in the US...so called Christians...there should be nobody that needs or want....There are more Christians/and other religions, that there should be no homeless and in times of need there are enough religious folks to help...

One thing about religious people they won't help nobody unless they get recognized...

Most of us talk a good game until we have to apply the scriptures....The good Samaritan, take care of widows and children and so on...we read it and can quote scriptures...but put our money where our mouths are....

Most pastors, reverends are actors and have the gift of GAB....Most of them fail the success test...they forget the flock and only care about the $$$ and the attendance and how wonderful they are....

Wonder if there are any real preachers out there that don't want nothing and just want to preach....

Can't trust religious folks...but thank goodness most of them are in churches, mosque, etc...just think how bad they would be if they wasn't there..

Is The Watchtower Corporation Facing A Meltdown Of Confidence Among Its Members?

looking at all the narcissistic bull shit the watchtower corporation has been spewing out for the world to see about suffering of its members to as nothing worth being very concerned about and as jehovah magnificent be vindicated is much more important.

have they really gone off their rocker enough for a very sizable portion of membership to see their insanity and jump ship?.

i think definitely they are losing all respect from their internet savy members as their madness becomes obvious.

I'm still in...I've noticed a weird vibe in the hall...I think folks are thinking but not re-acting, just going through the motions...the org., is throwing so much at the friends to swallow...they are not inspired, not infallible, did not say anything about 1975, The ARC (folks know, why I know they know, because it's not talked about, that's when they know, when not a peep is spoken). When attending assemblies, not too many baptism candidates....there was a time when they frowned upon young ones getting baptized, now look....

The talk that you hear among the friends are about the JW website....that's where they are zealous, like they are in the know....

It's not about confidence it's about the social aspect of the org., many of the friends are afraid of their own shadow...they are in-bred....

Most are witnesses because it's a badge of honor...

Hi All,

I'm going to run down the middle with this statue removing issue...All these statues were human beings, they did great things and added to our history, some things they did were not so nice...owning slaves,etc., Christopher claiming he discovered America...how could he discover something that was already inhabited...it's not like the land was empty and they brought the first humans and animals to America....it's like saying...you saw what looked like an abandoned bldg. and thought no one lived there.. but later the folks came home...or should I say, You discovered they came home...

So, yes, take down the statues and put them in a museum because they are a part of US history, but it's to celebrate them NO...they upheld slavery and other issues that were fought for...but let's look at Jehovah...he is not partial...Lets take a look at David...umm...he was close to Jehovah's heart, but, he killed, committed adultery and maybe some other things...did Jehovah hold that against him....NO, because if he did...we would not be reading Psalms today...I'm just saying...

Just to add to my previous 2 cents...They are more arrogant than ignorant....and a person that is arrogant because they are ignorant...that's a dangerous combination....they know they are wrong and have been shown they are wrong, but to stubborn to admit it....that's JW's in a nutshell, the ones that drink the kool-aide.

Hi,

They are just like any religious person...they feel because they can quote scriptures they are intelligent...that's because they like to dumb down to look pious, I'm such a Christian, I don't know about certain things but I know my bible....that's the mind-set....just like what's going on now...they feel something is up, something is going to happen, & they think they know....wonder what witnesses thought during, other turbulent times, like Depression, civil unrest etc...

The Ignorance is just game....to show they are not of the world...one time I said to a sister...AKA: she didn't know what that meant, but she knows how to rack up points for coffee and how to get free stuff...

Many at my hall, have been to college and they are professionals...they give intelligent comments, but they don't apply it...many think because they give good comments that they are spiritually strong and they are a dedicated witness in good standing...NOT....they are just good students...how many students in school were smart but class clown or were bullies but smart....good comments mean nothing...

Some witnesses never went to school so what they learn from the org. makes them seem educated...sometimes the more ignorant a person is the more arrogant they are...

Again, don't believe the hype, witnesses are smarter than they let on....

Many people do lose site of what's really important when it comes to money and higher education...some people are professional students, never graduate and when they do, they go back to school to avoid the real world...that's what the org. is somewhat talking about...don't get too smart or too rich to forget about Jehovah...

Have you noticed this trend on social media amongst witnesses...?

it seems that every 2nd witness often posts pictures of themselves at conventions, or out in 'service'.

but i have noticed that they never seem to post anything about the actual "spiritual content" of their activity!

instead, it is pictures of them with their witness "friends", along with some contrite comment like #bestlifeever (arrghhh).

Because they are molded by this system of things....They mirror all the things that so called worldly folks do...what the heck is a worldly person...one who travels...lol....we are all worldly because we are a part of the world...some of us whether witnesses or not, do not buy into what the world has to offer...anyway...The witnesses do whatever everyone else does...

Notice at most jobs, folks eat all day long...drink water all day, coffee, snacks etc...all day...ever notice witnesses, they always up to eating especially if its for free...witnesses are people first, except they don't think so, until you call them on a imperfection, then they say they are only human, other than that, they are a cut above the rest of mankind...they are witnesses...God's chosen...NOT...

So as time goes along, you will notice changes...why, because the young ones are coming and they going to put a whole new spin on the org...

Has anyone else recently been contacted by a once close JW friend or relative? Could this be a new JW tactic?

hmmmm...yesterday my long life friend called my landline after many years of silence.

now the shock has subsided, i am wondering if i can forgive and forget the fact she chose not to keep in touch throughout a time in my life which was very stressful.

sadly, i gathered that she is still involved with jehovah’s witness faith.

I hope so too...everyone needs a safe place to vent...Many will wake up....trust me...there is a certain vibe in the hall lately....can't say what it is...but it's a feeling...I think most are just going through the motions...They have been there for so long...why change now...they have their social life all tied up in the org....

Many want to leave but can't for whatever reasons...maybe one day the org. should have a window of opportunity...tell folks they can leave now with no repercussions and no announcement...

That would be huge...

Watchtower's unscriptual boasting about works

nothing big here, just a little musing on this scripture at ephesians 2.8-9 that definately states that only faith saves, not works, in case men start to boast about their amazing works.

"8for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of god, 9not of works, that no one would boast.

well my word, i would definately say witnesses *do nothing but boast*, especially now on jw broadcast.

I live in NYC....lately, I've been taking the bus to work...The Bus travels down 5th Avenue...From Central Park all the way downtown to 23rd street....homeless...everywhere...sleeping ON THE BENCHES OUTSIDE OF CENTRAL PARK in the doorways of Fendi, Louis Vitton and ON THE STEPS OF CHURCHES....they are saying...so you won't help the homeless...we'll just be an eye sore...

So all that to say...how many homeless do you think will sleep or beg in front of a kingdom hall...well, first of all most of them have a gate around the bldg. so the homeless can only be outside the gate...don't think the homeless would hang out in front of a kingdom hall...because it's well known....witnesses don't help nobody...

Imagine, it's common knowledge among the homeless...sure our works...they forgot that God gave his son for our sins....it's a gift...and you can't work for it...that's why God says it's faith...works are a result of changing to be a better person...doesn't mean you have to kill yourself for God in the ministry or whatever you think you have to do to earn the sacrifice...Witnesses can't change that's why they work so hard...they only have faith when things are good...oh Jehovah is so good, but let something happen, well, we know Satan is in charge of this system...blah blah...

THE ORG IS IT'S OWN BEST CUSTOMER....
