Hi All,
It's me again...with the question, if Trump is impeached, the alternative is Pence....well, it's not really a question but your thoughts.....
Who is he ? & Where did they find him ? Where did he come from?
Thoughts....

that is a question i want to calmly and politely ask a witness next time i interact with them.
perhaps at a cart.. "the bible says we should be humble.
may i ask, are you humble enough to admit you were wrong on things you believe?
Hi,
I was raised by great parents...my Dad always said it's ok to be wrong, even as your Dad I could be wrong even your Mom....& you can tell us if we are wrong...but the he would end it with...but....watch your tone, we are your parents....
Nothing wrong with being wrong, that's why in the 21st century, pencils still have erasers...
It's not that witnesses don't like to say they are wrong but they must have the last word, even if they are wrong...I've experienced that so much...one of their favorite lines is..."But, at the same time"...
Humbleness is not a characteristic of a witness...oh they pretend to be, but they can turn on you like a rabid dog...most people in places of worship are extremist...they are either on the lamppost or on a bar stool or worshipping & telling other folks what to do & they don't do it because most folks think just walking through the door of a place of worship makes them holy...
Again, most religious folks have an issue with arrogance and pride, they are tight with God & you are not...
Oh, but they think they are humble because what other org. says they are wrong when it comes to the scriptures... most say, the FDS is so humble they even admit when they are wrong...but even their correction is their correction...not from the bible, so it can change...
Many of uneducated so this gives them some sense of pride...& sometimes when folks are ignorant they can be dangerous...because they want to hide their ignorance...
So, no witnesses are not humble enough, that's why there are so many of them...Me, I'm a witness but if you go on EX JW sites, you better be humble because you'll find out a thing or two...because many have seen a thing or two...love that commercial.

it is not “preach the good news” nor is it “believe in jesus and get saved” neither is it “believe in the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses and get saved” although in practice they do teach this.
no, everything they claim depends on a belief in another doctrine which logic decrees cannot be found in the bible.
the leadership of jehovah’s witnesses put absolute faith in a protestant doctrine which is given a latin name, sola scriptura, meaning “by scripture alone”.. good evidence of the governing body believing in the primacy of this doctrine was when being questioned by the australian royal commission, they resorted to the ‘authority’ of scripture to defend their stance on having “two witnesses” when they are investigating child abuse cases.throughout the hearing they paraded their naive trust in the bible as the highest possible authority proudly ignoring the fact that most people regard it as having been superseded by modern scientific evaluations of what is true.. .
Hi,
Primary teaching...They know God's name & nobody else does...To me their main teaching is telling everyone God's name is Jehovah...even if you go D2D, and some folks reply that they do believe in God, most witnesses won't leave it there...they will say, well, did you know God has a name? Then they go on to say, how can you believe in someone if you don't know their name...but God isn't just someone & he don't need a name...he is God all by himself...
Oh & go out in the ministry....

december 6, 2017 to all congregations re: study of jesus—the way.
jesus—the way, the truth, the life.
Hi,
Jesus witnesses.....maybe....but they are going to put a different spin on it...trust me...they would have to re-write too much literature...
Everybody knows Jesus is the way...only witnesses don't...Jesus leads us to Jehovah....you got to go through the son to get the father...witnesses have lost the way....they go straight to God, because they know his name so they feel they can step to God....
Witnesses don't know if they really wanted more converts...they would just have to put Jesus in the forefront then prove to the masses that he is the son of God...bingo...converts...
That's just my thoughts..

faithful and discreet slave parable.
matthew 24:45-47 "who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?
happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.
Hi,
It's a parable...that's all it is...& The org. just fit themselves in...Just like they fit them selves into being of the 144,000....Just like they think Jesus is now in charge and sending the org. smoke signals of when the end is...you know they think God's chariot is really on the move...yes, witnesses think they are privy to the end & when it will happen...they use the events of the day to point to the end...wonder what they thought during the civil rights un-rest...or any other events that might look like the end...
Most witnesses are full of themselves...that's one MO to be one...to think much of yourself...
I always said, it's a good thing that Jesus didn't have any children because the witnesses would have all claimed they are his seed....
They don't know who the FDS class is...in a few years they'll change who they are again...
So if the org. uses parables to describe themselves...then maybe the entire org., is just a parable...not real.
Thx,
Tor
jehovah's witnesses insist that jephthah did not sacrifice his daughter to jehovah.
this is important to them because, rarther than jephthah just being a random bad person, jehovah was very much in on the deal.
after all, he made the promise to jehovah that he would "offer up as a burnt offering" on his return the first thing to come out of his house if jehovah would give the ammonites into his hands in battle, and since they were this makes jehovah complicit.. the isrealites had been getting a good thrashing of late, and the gilead elders (oh boy) had come out to ask jephthah, the rejected son of a prostitute (wouldn't you know it) and renown soldier, if he would lead the isrealites into battle for them.. this is when jephthah makes the deal with jehobo, and it all centres on the word for "burnt offering", which is given as "olah".
Hi,
From the Bible he did create everything & thought...but that's just man's story....I don't pretend to know all....I'm a witness & I'm just expressing how they think...I didn't say how I think...
They don't think at all they are fed...
Sometimes when life isn't all roses...I tend to think....where is God, bet ya there ain't no God cuz how would he let this happen...then I think again...then say maybe there is a God...like most..
I am just a regular person that came into the org...whether there is a God or not...it's a beautiful earth...& whatever created it...I'm glad to be here...no life isn't perfect...not for anyone...
Some believe in Science & Some believe in God...but at the end of the day...we all believe in something...Just look at our bodies....how we heal...amazing...God or evolution...who knows ?

Hi,
The moral of the story, be careful what you say to God and what you promise to him...he will hold you to it...In the case of Abraham, God asked for his son...& Abraham went willingly...but it wasn't his idea...God read his heart and said, well I know he doesn't want to give up his son, but looks like he's gonna do it...so God intervenes...
Now Jep, he made a promise...& so his yes has to be yes...I don't see anything in the bible that says God wants human sacrifices...one thing, God did warn ya...
Lets' take a look a Uzzah, it all looked innocent, he just tried to keep the Ark from falling...but the rationale of a JW would think...well God told many how it should be moved, not touched by human hands, must be carried on polls by humans...and so his heart did not have a pure motive (only God would know that)....
The JW's can't really explain this scripture about Jep & his daughter...because it does seem like she was toast...JW's can't wrap their heads around that...No not OUR JEHOVAH...he doesn't kill or accept human sacrifices...No, say it isn't so...
Just like they think God don't change his mind...yes he did...many times...God is not a Golden Calf...that don't hear or think...
Again, the moral of the story, don't promise nothing to God you can't or won't deliver.

your thoughts...how is it that trump can dictate what goes on in other countries?
can anyone from another country come here and tell us what to do...trump is now the president of the world now, uh?.
i'm not really savvy regarding politics but i'm no dummy either...what the heck is going on in the world.... again, any thoughts ?
@Faithnomore,
Thanks for the shout out....you understood it was a question. I was on another site and asked several questions to active JW's, wow, did they pounce on me...I befriended a few of the folks on the site and they would stick up for me and say, all they/me did was just ask a question. Many on the site had to calm down some of the witnesses. They would turn on you like a rabid dog...
I like this site, many intelligent folks.
You are right some folks are just passionate about life itself, so must tread lightly...It's said to never discuss politics and religion...I say discuss, but agree to disagree & yet don't have to remain disagreeable...

Hi,
It was a question....that's all it was...just a question of thoughts...I know he is not the president of the world hardly one of the US...
I'm not mad...just commenting...I like your come back, because you bring out good points like others... again, I just wanted thoughts...I just wanted to know what others thought...that's all...thanks for your comment...Yes, I'm very uninformed...I don't get too much into politics...because politicians don't tell the truth...they are going to cut taxes then raise them then have a better Health Care then we aren't going to have Health Care...they make promises just to get elected...yet there are politicians who do care...
My question was sincere...I just wanted thoughts... & I got them...
Trump is something else...he does say what he wants...

went to the meeting last night with my believing wife.
the co was visiting and delivered a really cult-ish talk on loyalty but that's another story.. they made the announcement that starting january 1st they were going to have only 3 congregations in this town instead of 4.. they are dissolving one and growing the territories of the remaining 3. the reason given is that many of the elders are getting up there in age and can't do what they used to do.
basically not enough elders and ministerial servants...or even men reaching out for that matter.
Hi,
If you look at any type of worship, it's mostly made up of females...if women were to leave worship, there would be a lot of empty pews, & chairs...
I agree when we go out in service, just a few brothers...it's mostly females...we like to gather & gossip...(lol).
Didn't Jehovah say this is Ps. 68:11:Jehovah gives the command; The women proclaiming the good news are a large army...
The congregations are going down in #'s...but the org. is shuffling so we won't notice...but folks are noticing...
As someone said, it's a social club...nothing to do with doctrine or God...just hanging together in the name of God to think they are safe and holy...Pulllll'eeeeeze...
