About 1/2 of my family is JW. Aunt's, Uncles, Cousins. My parents are former JW, but left in the early 90's. The JW side, I don't see much anymore but at this point it feels like "different lives, different cities" etc, more so than religion.

Wow. So a construction job where you have to stop what you're doing (at midday, just as you're hitting your stride/rhythm). Shower, dress and go to a sit down lunch. Then go back to work? Haven't they heard of lunch boxes? How the hell did anything ever get done?

Was this the norm at Bethel? Group showers? Was being at Bethel like being in a freshman college dorm room with community bathroom facilities or was this in a gymnasium area?
