i was doing some reminiscing and remember the days back in the late 80s and early 90s where i truly could say the meetings were so encouraging and that i felt the holy spirit present and operating on all of us.
today when i attend, there is nothing of the sort.
is it because jehovah has withheld it?
Yep have felt the same thing. In the western world middle 90s something happend. As it holy spirit wasent there anymore. Then it been spreding worlwide. Thats actually the reason i suspect there was something abouth the date 1914. After 80 years ,with is a biblical generation felt like not much was working any more in this org. Think they just focus on preaching and other things like Christian love they never paid any attention to. Holy spirit moved on.
i was just thinking how greatful wt can be that they dfed him when they did.
could you imagine the hammering they would be taking now from the ex-jw community, in light of the recent documentary.

Well the prediction of merging congregacions in the USA wasent hard cause it started beginning of 2000 in country in Europe i lived in. If this prediction comes true then the source is real.
i had found this wt a week or more ago and it had, as i previously posted on an article on how we "know" that paul was part of the governing body in the first century.. out of curiosity i looked thru some of the articles.
everything is so different when you know about how the wt is run by hypocrites and money grubbers.
what i saw as something positive or totally trustworthy, i now can only sadly sigh and roll my eyes at.. did you know that before caleb and sophia, there was little shelly and stephen?

Dont think org is broke they probably have more money then ever. But KHs are half empty. And there is not much happening in western world for them. So better sell of branches. Think they trown in towel when it comes to congregacions
i've been having a conversation with a young jw on twitter and have, once again, come up against beliefs that do not match up with official watchtower doctrine.
if you like you can read the full thread here (you'll need to click on some comments to open it all up).. anyway the upshot is that this jw, and many like her, believe that only truly wicked people will be killed at armageddon - not innocent babies and children or anyone who "didn't know better" perhaps because they didn't get a witness.
it's as though they cannot accept the obvious injustice of jehovah's morality.. this jw teenager believes that all these non-jw's who survive armageddon will get their chance to prove their loyalty during the 1000 year reign of christ - again, not a watchtower teaching.. i don't really have a question to ask, this is just an observation.
Yeah younger wittneses dont do much reading this days. Ask one how long a biblical generation is and they wont belive its 70-80 years. They belive a generation is overlapping
