the mrs (third gen) and i have been on this site for a number of years now.

we appreciate simon's efforts to keep this site active and available.

i find a number of pimo jw friends enjoy youtube for some reason.

The plethora of EX-JW YouTube sites would take DAYS if not weeks to comb through. Are these ex jws holding down jobs AND doing a channel? Are they supporting themselves financially with only these channels? How accurate are most of the sites?
All of the exjw YouTubers have jobs with the exception of one. Some just receive ad revenue which isn’t lots of money, a couple have patrons and have super chats etc. 👍

A terrible message would be letting them off completely free of consequences, because nothing erodes sympathy and support for actual victims than pretend victims abusing and clogging up the legal system to try an hurt others and profit.
I agree completely with you. False reporting can create issues with genuine victims not being believed, causing way more harm. I genuinely shake my head at this man’s lack of understanding of CSA related issues, and again this is further evidence that he should not be a CSA advocate.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, it definitely resonates with me. People would have wanted to see the fantasy of Patterson being handed over as Lloyd suggested, hence emotional thinking easily overtaking rational thought.
I am very appreciative, this question has been chewing my brain for days, but now I can put it in a box on the shelf 💗

I think Ex JW Reddit has learnt a huge lesson from this.
I wish they silenced lloyd as quickly as they did me. I have said some outrageous stuff (by my standards) on this forum and have never been told to shut up, stop swearing (which I never did on Reddit) or anything else. I stopped going on Reddit about a year ago as I couldn’t comment there in a polite way after the whole scandal without being dragged by the mods. In the end I gave up.
I like it here, so many interesting threads to read, debate, intelligent people.
Reddit may be a nice place, but this is home for me.

I called out Cedars for posting BS 10 years ago.
I mention you in the cedars thread - you were so kind, factual and to the point in trying to make lloyd aware that he was very wrong, but he didn’t listen and continued down his abusive rabbit hole behaviour. You called it 100% correctly.
If it’s not to much trouble I would love to know your thoughts to my question:
Lloyd had no qualifications, no experience, hadn’t been out of the borg long at that point, clearly made provable errors yet people continued to believe him and thanking him for the “valuable information” - even over the qualified/fact driven proof.
It is easy for someone who has no idea about the subject he is ~~lecturing~~ Talking about, sure I understand that, but why did they listen to his “brand of facts” over that of others?
