First time I ever posted on this site, the very first time I ever posted on anything that would be considered apostate, I had a massive adrenaline rush but I felt good about it too. It was liberating and scary all at the same time. My other half is a non believer though he accepts Jehovah as the one true God but will not follow the org so that was not an issue for me. He was asleep at the time and I couldn't wait till morning to tell him.

JW Dogma Analysis For Lurkers & Faders to Consider
by The Fall Guy inthis post is necessarily lengthy, but my hope is that these 14 examples of wtbts dogma will be examined closely by those who either have something to gain by doing so, or those who can provide "new light" for any of the topics.. "however, you may say in your heart: “how will we know that jehovah has not spoken the word?” when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word is not....true, then jehovah did not speak that word.
you should not fear him.

Vidiot: He mentioned in Crisis of Conscience that when doctrinal issues came up, his GB peers would almost always defer first to what "The Society" had stated in the past, with scriptures a distant second.
It really bothered him.
This has bothered me too and led me to read Crisis of Conscience myself. Very awakening. Highly recommend it. And I still get the feeling that Ray Franz deeply loved Jehovah and when he awoke to the truth, he could no longer stand by the org. He does not come across to me as bitter and vengeful and will even admit when he stood by a teaching that he later realised was not scriptural that hurt a lot of people or when he simply went along in spite of his conscience simply to not rock the boat.
I was actually reading last night where he's going through all the info on 1914 .... what a mess that whole saga is and they continue to mess it up even worse with the whole generations. But all those old mags and books are not available to the R&F and I wouldn't be surprised if the GB took all the evidence to a dudes weekend camping trip somewhere in the wilderness of Warwick and had a massive bonfire. I sometimes wonder what my PIMI elder brothers (familial brothers, not spiritual) would say if they knew. But I think I know, they would shrug it off as old understanding and ignore that it's been repeated several times in the past 100 years. I can imagine smoke pouring out of their ears and their eyeballs bursting for having dared looked at it.

GDPR Warning for the Org?
by The Fall Guy ina uk organization has been fined £200,000 for accidentally breaching the data protection of numerous individuals.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44872880.
how will jw branches/elders fare in the eyes of the law if they deliberately breach someone's privacy?.
uk elders/trustees, it may be time to take out liability insurance for yourselves!.

Vidiot: Can't have "God's Earthly Organization" capitulating to "Satan's World", after all.
Yet Romans 13: "1 Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2 Therefore, whoever opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will bring judgment against themselves." Maybe they only abide by the worlds rules when it comes to appealing child sex abuse court cases where they've been ordered to pay damages?
I noticed when pasting the above scripture a spelling mistake in the word judgement. In Australia it needs an e after the g. Not sure if American english is different but this could explain why I have so many issues when using the search function on the jw app. Maybe they purposefully misspell words in the key scriptures so we can't find them.

Page 21, par. 13 - “The faithful and discreet slave” does not exercise control over the thoughts of individuals, and neither do the elders.
And they expect the publisher minions to actually swallow this???????
Unless you're been told to paint the KH with a 2" brush.

So I think POMOSI should be a new label for peo0le like me.

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin other ways knows as Game of Thrones. I had read the books before it made it to tv. The books are so much more involved. How someone can come up with such complicated and thrilling story lines and keep it together throughout is amazing.

Is the blood doctrine idolatrous?
by Fred Franztone ini'm not a god-fearing individual, but when i was still a believer, many suns ago, it occurred to me that the blood doctrine had an idolatrous foundation; it was one of the initial anti-wt thoughts in my mind that eventually led to me leaving the religion and ultimately (and somewhat ironically) to atheism.. the bible says that one should 'abstain from blood', and putting aside whether this is a mistranslation of bloodshed (which i've never bought), the wt are quite picky about which commandments they follow; they don't observe the sabbath, and they've even provided justifications for lying, so why the preoccupation with the blood commandment?
and why is it so serious a matter that it's a disfellowship-worthy offence?
the justification i was always given by elders was that blood is sacred, it's a symbol of life, and whilst the commandment to abstain from blood clearly meant that one shouldn't eat it, it's not unreasonable on the surface to extrapolate it to include transfusions (although some would disagree).. the problem with this reasoning of course is that by abstaining from blood transfusions, death from massive blood-loss is a possibility, unlike with abstaining from eating it.

Thank you for your thought. Your point of putting the symbol of life ahead of life itself reminded of the apostle Paul saying the law exists for the sake of men and not men for the sake of the law. The important one in both examples is man and life and not the laws to keep men orderly or the blood that keeps men alive. What good iis a law if there’s no one to benefit from it or blood if there is no body for it to live in?

I was coerced into baptism at 14 by my elder father who said if Armageddon comes tomorrow and you’re not baptised you will die. What a loving parent that was. I guess he’d had enough of explaining to the CO an DO why his teenage kid wasn’t baptised already.

How many JDubs would believe this ridiculous statement?
by Sour Grapes ina circuit overseer or a member of the gibbering body is giving a talk about demonism and he says the following, "there was an elder in a congregation in california who let his 8-year-old daughter watch disney movies that involved witches, gremlins, magic, and sorcery.
many may feel that they are harmless movies and are just entertainment.
well, the 8-year-old daughter actually brought a blue smurf doll to the public talk and watchtower study.

I remember hearing that story in Australia when I was a kid about 30 years ago. Something about a cabbage patch kid doll too. I’m sure my mum definitely believed it.
