Murdered! They picked the worst of the worse reason for her husband dying. If he was murdered, why isn't she speaking with the police instead of attending a meeting? Surely the police would have asked her questions - did her husband have enemies, could she be a suspect...I suppose all of that occurred days before she attended the next meeting. Her face is radiant as she sits in the kh; beaming, as if the light of Christ is shining upon her. Not even a puffy eye from weeping.
When my husband passed away, there was no possible way I would have appeared or felt, radiant and at peace, as she appears, a short time after his death...and I still don't, a year and half later.
Yes, JW leadership is detached from reality.

We must attach neither too much nor too little importance to our love for Jesus.
How does that work? It works well through fear and ignorance. JWs are taught not to love, and taught to downplay the role of Christ. Many call him “the ransom” – true, but very sterile. I was thinking how the name “Jehovah” is used much more than “Father”. “Jehovah” is said to be a friend; a father can be a friend, but the true love between a father and a son has no limits. If Jesus and the Father are “one”, (John 10:30) and we are to honor the Son as we honor the Father, (John 5:23) wouldn’t our love for both have no bounds? JWs are to “imitate Jehovah”. I doubt God regulates how much love He has for His Son. If the leadership feels love for Christ must be bridled, kept in check, where is their scriptural proof. Their choice of John 16:27 doesn’t cut it.
“neither too much nor too little”. Right in the middle – neither hot nor cold. Tepid. Synonyms: dull, halfhearted, unenthusiastic, apathetic, disinterested…lukewarm.
I personally, would never underestimate Christ’s reaction on the matter, upon his return.
‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold (invigorating, refreshing) nor hot (healing, therapeutic); I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust]. 17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have prospered and grown wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked [without hope and in great need]

New light and confessing to congregations.

if important new light about biblical matters have come to the gb attention, why are they not telling the congregations about that information?

To err: fail to adhere to the proper or accepted standards; do wrong.
The proper or accepted standards are already set out in Jesus’ words. Any deviation from that, comes from men. Where in the Bible, does it say we must follow men who deviate from the words of Jesus Christ?
Yet every JW follows along - either gullibly, or.they are apprehensive to speak up against the GB's errors, for fear of what they'll lose. (Luke 12:49-53) We're not judged by the word of men, although the GB would like us to believe we are. We're judged by the words of Jesus. John 12:47,48; Matt 7:24-27

Anony Mous - Since 2019 this type of heart disease has increased by nearly 3M deaths annually, now outstripping the previous leaders neonatal and lower respiratory conditions (poverty-related issues). So our lockdowns and related issues (worldwide economic shortages) has killed nearly 3 times more people than COVID.
Incredible. On a daily basis, heart disease was already double the amount of covid-related deaths, followed by cancer, still ahead of the covid tally. I believe other physical complications than what you mentioned, specifically from the ingredients in the vaccine, will also probably cause these two to soar over the next few years. And one of the two, heart disease or cancer may eventually take down the aging GB members. The vaccine is like a band aid that won't stick.
I've had covid and am in my 60's. I have no underlying health problems, but it took a month to get over the severe fatigue. I have a 40 year-old niece who is very overweight and diabetic, and had covid for three days. Nothing seems to really makes sense in how this disease works, but I'm glad to have received natural immunity. And...I'm still taking quercetin with everything else, which I have for years.

jackson presented some arguments, one of which was….jesus did not stop the widow from putting money in the contribution box in the temple.
basically saying regardless of your financial situation you have to donate.

Somebody really got under his skin, or someone on the GB, and Jackson was elected to deliver the message. They usually don't give two hoots about what "apostates" think. What prompted this strident defense?

Jackson related the scriptures where Paul collected gifts/money for the holy ones who were poor. These people needed provisions to survive. He then translates that into the need for the organization to build kingdom halls and whatever else they devise in their mind – Ramapo. Forget the poor who need daily provisions throughout the world, but coerce the poor to give to Ramapo. Such hypocrisy.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
Is the GB beginning to grieve over their eager need for more money?
"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." 1 Tim 6
That is the trademark of a true charity, and the GB are not exempt from this. They apparently took the vow of poverty, but I tell ya, those men are the most fleshly, well kept poor people I have ever seen. So...JWs give to the "poor" - the GB (and their dreams)?
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! He's done that before to validate the ushering in of the organization's new "decrees". He actually used that word. They come from "Jehovah" even though the GB are not inspired to receive them. To use the apostles as their example, goes way beyond scripture.
The apostle Paul:
"When I was present with you and was in need, I wasn’t a burden on anyone, for the brothers, when they came from Macedonia, supplied the measure of my need. In everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and I will continue to do so. As the truth of Christ is in me, no one will stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11 Why? Because I don’t love you? God knows. 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from those who desire an occasion, that in which they boast, they may be found even as we. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. 2 Cor 11: 9-15

Is Bible prophecy now starting to come true regarding the prelude to the great tribulation?

full disclosure: i still don't believe in the bible's claims about the existence of the supernatural, even of jehovah god (i'm an atheist and a scientific/philosophical naturalist), but i am asking this question because recent events are starting to seem (to me) to fit well the description of some prophecies in the bible.
consider the following.. several hours ago (on 11-26-2021) as i was about to enter a local fred meyer store of my city (in suburb or small city in the metro area of a large city) a person i know told me that a moment earlier a person left the store in a hurry with a cart load up with unpaid merchandise (i think i was told it was groceries but i don't remember that for sure).

but I am asking this question because recent events are starting to seem (to me) to fit well the description of some prophecies in the Bible.
If we are to believe that the actual events happening in the world are a sign of the Great Tribulation, then perhaps Watchtower’s lie of 1914 has become successfully embedded into our being. I’m not saying that stuff isn’t happening. I don’t walk around believing that all is right in the world when it’s not, but I keep in mind, Jesus’ words:
“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20,21
He’s telling us that the literal earthquakes, the famine, and the wars between nations mentioned in Matt 24 are not the signs we are to look for. (Matt 16:1-3; Luke 12:54-56) It is similar to his account of the “yeast/leaven of the Pharisees”. His disciples thought he was talking about literal bread, when it was the teachings he was warning them of. ( John 16:6,11,12; 6:35)
If you believe it’s possible to be deceived, then you must believe that evil is behind it.
If we focus only on the literal, and forget the words of Jesus in Luke 17:20,21, someone is behind the curtain pulling our strings. We have been deceived. (1 Pet 2:1-3; 1 Tim 4:1) The Wt. interprets the signs Jesus gave his disciples in Matt. 24 as “pains of distress”. Before these signs are to occur, they say the kingdom was “born” in 1914. It is then followed with these “pains of distress”. The clearer translation for Matt 24:8 tells us that these symbolic signs are “birth pains”, and birth pains naturally come before birth, – the birth of the Kingdom of God.
Pretty twisted, isn’t it!

Ask any woman who has given birth, and she will tell you that much of the Greek definition for “tribulation” can apply to birth - a pressing, pressing together, oppression, affliction, distress. Who’s giving “birth” to the Kingdom under severe tribulation, which is also a sifting, a sorting out of what is truth and what is a lie? (Luke 22:31) It is an analogy that is used in many places in the scriptures.
"For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.” Rom 8:22-24
The promised covenant signified by a woman (Gal 4:23,24,26), is in “labor” in Rev 12:1,2.
At this point, you probably don’t believe there are genuine anointed under the New Covenant, in the organization. Well, this is the same organization that has taken captive (Col 2:8; Rev 13:10) and deceived a spiritual people (“Israel”) into believing they must look at the world of literal events, instead of focusing on their own heart. (Matt 24:24,25) Truth or lies, they have to decide. (Joel 3:14) If they decide they are the victims of deceit by false prophets, and do something about it by their “testimony” to Christ’s words such as those above, they will fulfill these additional signs that Jesus and the scriptures tell us would occur – Luke 12:51-53; Mark 10:29,30; Matt 5:11,12; 10:17-19; John 16:2; Heb 13:13; Rev 13:15; 12:11
This happens in the opposite order than what the Wt. says. The anointed and those with them fulfill these signs as they are exiting the door of a judicial committee, leading to their exodus from the organization (another Sodom, another Egypt, Rev 11:8).
Who doesn’t experience internal “earthquakes” when we find out that what we’ve believed for years, is not “the truth”? When we realize it isn’t truth, we then perceive the spiritual “famine” that exists in the organization. (Ezek 5:16; Amos 8:11; Mal 2:7-9; Rev 18:8) Nations rising against nations? The anointed are “kings” from all nations. (1 Pet 2:9; Rev 5:9,10) I wonder sometimes just how many anointed ones have been disfellowshipped, since it became the thing to do. Why does the elder body label one as “apostate”, if not because of a verbal conflict that happens over what is true, and what is a lie.
If we read through the signs of Matt 24, it mentions the word, “deceive” in the NKJV, four times. It also mentions “false prophets” twice, “false christs” once. They deceive the “elect”/anointed. (Matt 24:24,25) A “wicked slave”, and its partners “drunk” on its teachings (elder body), “beats” down his fellow servants. This gives more evidence that the “kings” belonging to Christ, are at war with one another. (1 Pet 2:5,9; Rev 1:1,5; 13:5-7;16:13-16) Ray Franz, whom most all of us have heard of, is just one example of an anointed one fighting in this war.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Cor 10:3-6
One man, Jesus Christ, stated that the Kingdom will not come with observation (the Greek word means, “ocular evidence”); yet millions of people throughout the world will tell us otherwise, and the show goes on just as people prefer to believe. It’s as if they are saying, “see there!”. (Luke 17:21) As scripture says, “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one”. 1 John 5:19
