Luke 21:24 is an expression of the Gentile Times as elucidated by the prophet Daniel recorded in his ch.4 with the tree dream because it is centered on Jerusalem being trampled on as an expression of God's Kingdom so get the facts right.

Read it, I have studied it. Obviously, the author has a different chronology but it is the interpretation of the subject that is truly groundbreaking because Bryan asserts that the Exile of seventy years did not end with the Fall of Babylon but the return of the jews under Cyrus which agrees with our understanding of the seventy years. This pioneering scholarship is a deathblow to apostates and other critics of our wondrous Bible Chronology developed historically by the celebrated WT scholars.

The problem that you have is that the date 605 BCE although documented by secular Chronology thus far it is falsified by the seventy years of Jeremiah, therefore, the current NB Chronology must be adjusted or 'fine-tuned' by adding an extra twenty years to reconcile such with Bible Chronology.

The translation of John 17:3 in the NWT in both the current edition of 2013 and former editions are all accurate with the literal Greek and is explained nicely as such in the NWT Study Bible: "their coming to know you: Or “their taking in knowledge of you; their continuing to know you.” The Greek verb gi·noʹsko basically means “to know,” and here the verb is used in the present tense to express continuous action. It may denote a process of “taking in knowledge about someone; getting to know someone; becoming better acquainted with someone.” It may also include the thought of making an ongoing effort to get better acquainted with someone who is already known. In this context, it refers to a deepening personal relationship with God brought about by ever-increasing knowledge of God and Christ and a growing trust in them. Clearly, this necessitates more than knowing who a person is or knowing his name. It would also involve knowing what that person likes and dislikes and knowing his values and standards. —1Jo 2:3; 4:8.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
In recent months it has come to scholar's attention the most recent article published in the scholarly literature on the subject of the Seventy Years. The article deals with the Exile which began with the Fall of Jerusalem and the Return of the Jews under Cyrus, a period of seventy years as foretold by Jeremiah and not ending with the Fall of Babylon as many critics of WT Chronology maintain. The article is titled 'The End of Exile: The Reception of Jeremiah's Prediction of a Seventy-Year Exile' by Steven M Bryan, Journal of Biblical Literature, 2018, Vol.137, no.1, pp.107-126
Enjoy!!!!

Finally, you have sen the light for any reader can see for himself/herself that Dan 4 must have both a literal and figurative fulfilment because of the literary structure of the tree dream, context within the book of Daniel and the terms used in Dan 4.
Neb began his reign much earlier than 605 BCE which is a date based not on Bible Chronology but on NB Chronology.so his humiliation must have occurred after his 18th year when he destroyed Jerusalem in 607 BCE.
The point of the dream was Kingship and as we are encouraged to discern the 'times' in the course of history accompanied with such prophetic formulae then such calculations are proper as part of Salvation History which includes and reveals the doctrine of the Gentile Times-Like 21:24.

The methodology used is the 360 day/years system for interpreting prophecy combining with current calendrical systems as tp months and years as round numbers thus avoiding the problems with adopting 365 daily cycle. the subject is well explained in current WT publications in keeping with the KISS principle.

Wonderment
Well said. Interestingly, Ken Mc Kay in his A New Syntax of the Verb in New Testament Greek,p.94 superbly translates John 8:58 "I have been in existence since before Abraham was born".
