The very fact that Daniel used the expression 'times' rather than 'years' proves exegetically that the tree vision lies beyond the days of Neb. Further, the many references to God's Kingdom or kingship also demonstrates that fact.

I have watched this video and the scholarship behind it is just plain ignorant and abysmal. This fellow's academic learning has taught him nothing about NT Greek and I suspect that this so-called scholar has a profound respect for the NWT but because of his so-called conversion to Christ is forced to be superficially critical of the NWT. Most if not all of his criticisms have been addressed in WT publications most thoroughly and such responses was ignored by this so-called scholar.

My argument is indeed sound because it is based on a very careful and methodical exegesis of Daniel 4 which uses at least two key terms that takes the reader on a journey beyond the events of the 6th century right up to our day. What a marvellous journey which is not a flight of fancy but one of discovery seeing the broad tapestry of salvation history understood by most theologians.

The seven times do correspond to the seven years of Neb's regnal vacancy in order to ground the major or secondary fulfilment of the tree dream. The reason for its lack of historicity gets down to the reliability of those court recorders or others who would have us depend on their NB Chronology which does not agree with proper Bible Chronology as understood by the celebrated WT scholars.

The said scholar loves exegesis and is very acquainted with its methodology so would you like scholar to teach you how to do exegesis? for scholar likes to help the little people. There are good reasons to connect the seven times with the seventy years as both time periods shared a common beginning namely 607 BCE with the Fall of Jerusalem which represented Jehovah's kingship for that is the tie that binds. Nice and easy!!!

Indeed there are many such false prophets in the world today so sincere ones need to be very wary of apostates and their kin so one must pay close attention to God's Word and value our traditions and Christian heritage.

The true believer must be faithful and loyal to both Jesus and Jehovah and always pay attention to the times and the seasons in order to keep on the watch in anticipation of our Lord's coming.

No, simply by way of an apology so as to provide an alternative viewpoint.

God's Kingdom is no false thing for it is the theme of the Bible . Daniel was not aware of 1914 CE but he was aware of the development of the World powers who would be replaced by the intervention of God's Kingdom as explained in Daniel 2.

The Bible says plainly so that the reader can readily grasp basic facts that the tree dream refers to the length of its being restrained as seven times and not seven years and that the reason for this divine act was so that Gode's rulership is supremed as expressed by the kingdom mentioned right from the beginning to the conclusion of the dream.

The dream centred around Neb's experience to make the point as part of a prophetic drama so he was banished from his throne for seven literal years, a fact that you do not accept anyway.

The interpretation of those seven times is done in harmony with sound exegesis drawing upon not only the book of Daniel but the OT and the NT.

Regarding your last question it is for you to make an account of this as it is you that insists that it has only a literal application so put up or shut up!!!

I am not interested in convincing anyone especially yourself for my only reason in replying to your nonsense is simply to assist other readers that there is solid evidence based on sound exegesis of Dan4 that Gods Kingdom is presently reigning since 1914 as Daniel foretold.

Every occurrence in the NT is significant and such references depending on the context are eschatological thus confirming the validity of 1914 and 607 BCE

Oh yes it does!!! For the reason that both the terms 'times' and' God's Kingdom' or its equivalent occurs often in Daniel 4.and please be advised that if theses terms are in the NT then sound exegesis would oblige the careful and prudent exegete to see how such similar terms are used in the OT.

Dan 4 presents both the literal and figurative application based on the simple fact of the use of the word 'times' not years' and the frequent use of God's Kingdom so these expressions take us beyond what happened to Neb.

Nevertheless, the beautiful thing remains as Jehovah is the Revealer of secrets.
