All that effort and still so wrong. Sad indeed. You must be really feeling the weight of that sunk cost fallacy.
Well rewarded as I deal with the likes of you and your utter nonsense on Chronology.

if anyone were to come up to you claiming that they are the faithful and discreet slave, how would you go about proving them to be false, based upon scripture?.

Sure. But where other alternatives have been offered, I can show not merely that they disagree with what I have said, but also their own internal inconsistencies and irrationalities. And it’s not as though I have presented anything esoteric (as is almost universally the case with religious attempts). My research arrived at independently is consistent with expert sources for all the events in the NeoBabylonian period.
You boast but do not deliver for you never quote any academic or scholarly resources or if by chance you have done so it is rather rare. This means that your theories and interpretations on Chronology are yours and yours alone but you are entitled to such views just as others do including WT Bible Chronology.

Funny thing scholar is that I was were you are, I know what you know, I experienced just about all there was to be experienced as a JW. I used to sit with F.Franz in the sauna and listen to his ravings. I heard the infighting and debates carried on in the elevators and halls. I read the books the WT writers quote mined and marked up in the "research library". I got emotionally abused by the system that I devoted my life to. I was there when a dysfunctional foreign branch office was rebuilt by other dysfunctional people. My assigned congregation was impoverished in every respect. I've seen the system work and I've seen it fail miserably. I'm not ignorant of the sincerity of some nor am I ignorant of the duplicity of others. It's a church, nothing more.

So sad for you but that has not been my experience as an active Witness since 1958, baptised in 1964 and has pursued and attained University Degrees in Religious Studies both as an Undergraduate and Postgraduate. Further, I spent much time accessing and researching at the leading Theological seminary library in Sydney-Moore College researching questions from the field whilst pioneering. I have long battled issues on Chronology from SDA sources, dealt with prominent Hasidic Jewish scholars/academics and have collected and accessed all of the leading academic journals and read all of the major poztate scholarly literature. My conclusion from all of this is that Jehovah's Witnesses are the only True Religion having restored the teachings and practices of the Early Church. So there!

So the 70 years began on the day or week they were deported from Jerusalem?
--
The 70 years began in 607 BCE in the seventh month, Tishri also marked the same month of the Return in 537 BCE in the seventh month. Jehovah God is the Great Timekeeper!

That is why you should read the Bible and seek to understand God's Word for us in this modern age and be taught by Jehovah's Witnesses who alone understand the sacred mysteries of God by means of the Proclamation of God's Kingdom as the Gospel.

Firstly, you incorrectly attributed someone else’s comment to me. 🤦♂️ Secondly, neither the main deportation in 597BCE nor the deportation associated with Jerusalem’s destruction in 587BCE resulted in a 70 year exile.
--
False. The consequences of both the first and second deportation culminated in the Exile which was of 70 years duration as prophesied by Jeremiah, witnessed by Daniel, Jeremiah and Ezekiel and later confirmed by Ezra the historian and Zechariah. Josephus, the Jewish historian also confirms the fact of the Exile of 70 years and its consequences.

When exactly did the exile begin? When they arrived in Babylon?
--
The Jewish Exile or 'The Exile' of 70 years began in 607 BCE with the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar in 607 BCE. Such an invasion and deportation of the population caused soon thereafter to flee to neighbouring countries such as Egypt whereas others were deported along with others in the first deportation in 597 BCE to Babylon.

And according to WT some were more than 70 years in exile like Daniel. So when they returned, how can one say they all returned from a 70 years exile?
--
Now the biblical fact of the 70-year exile is troubling for Jeffro who is unable to reconcile the simple fact of the first deportation followed by the second deportation, ten years later would somehow be viewed as a composite Exile of 70 years duration with a precise beginning and end.

The apologist quietly ignores the fact that the passage in question (Jeremiah 29) refers to a letter written 7 years prior to Jerusalem’s destruction to people already exiled in Babylon, so it would be meaningless to tell them they would be in Babylon for 70 years starting from some unstated future event. 😂 Perhaps the silly apology shouldn’t highlight such obvious low hanging fruit. 🤦♂️
--
The letter by Jeremiah was addressed to an already exiled people later joined by others who now formed the Exile proper of 70 years just as the case with Ezekiel 1:1 which facts establish the simple fact that the 70 years was the Jewish Exile thus the Exile and its message of future liberation would have been a message of comfort for the now exiled population.

What a load of drivel. 😂 Basically, what he means is you have to pretend the verses don’t mean what they actually say because mommy Watch Tower says they ‘really’ mean something else. 🤦♂️ And he doesn’t even understand that he’s an Adventist.

Nope. You just read the texts, their context then you can do research if necessary which includes other commentaries and other Bible aids. Alternatively, you can also consult WT publications to get a more accurate understanding of matters.
