not a very good idea to say the least.

when i read paul's words the more i see how delusional the guy was.

he was a genuine religious fanatic who contradicts jesus words on the sermon on the mount.. 2 corinthians 10:5 5we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of god, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to christ.. delusional and in need of some serious psychological help.

Having read some of the posts on this site it has become very clear that some of the contributors have come to reject the authority of scripture. Some even appear to reject the reality of our creator. Those two go together.

So I ask "If that is really how you feel about God and his word - why are you here at all ?" Is it really just to complain about your lot in life ? Is it to try and destroy the faith of others ? So you have come out of a cult religion, which is in fact a part of Babylon the Great, does that somehow prove that God does not exist ?

I understand that there is a great trauma from the realisation that the religion that you spent so many years serving is actually false, because I have suffered in the very same way. It took me many years to stabilise my mind. But I never lost my faith in Yahweh and Jesus Christ, and I still spend time researching scripture. Why ? Because I believe that God exists and I love him. I believe the promises that he recorded in the scriptures. "For no matter how many the promises of God are, they have become Yes by means of him." (2Cor_1:20) That is a reference to Jesus Christ, who demonstrated total loyalty to his father.

So, you who are embittered against God - do not poison the waters that others drink.

The Internet is worse for the Watchtower than 1975 was: here's proof.

i am doing the "statistics" section.here are two graphs that show that the statistics have never been worse for the watchtower:quantity of hours required for 1 baptism: note how low it went in 1974-1975, and note that 2016 is much higher than the slump of 1978... about double, to be exact.

2016 was a historical record in this statistic (higher is worse for watchtower).. this stat is the baptisms as a percentage of the publisher average.

If you talk to a WTBTS member they will, without any sign of exhaustion, try to defend the indefensible, perhaps finally saying something to the effect that "Jehovah will put it right in his own time." But we recall that in Israel of old there were appointed prophets *promptly* on the scene, pointing out the errors of the people. I posit, with some personal conviction, that things are not put right for the simple reason that the WTBTS is *not* God's organisation.

Thus they are left to their own devices, to drift with the wind, inventing doctrines that suit their own purpose. Spirit directed ? If so then we are forced to conclude that they are grieving the spirit. So they have indefensible doctrines which upon examination are found to actually block access to our Lord Jesus Christ. Can it get any more serious.

Why the vitriolic hate?

i am sure we have all thought of this before, but it struck me again today:.

why does the society promote such vitriolic hate toward, and about those who have left "the truth" ?.

surely it is obvious that such critical attitudes towards ones like us who have left, only serves to proove that they do not have "the truth"?.

There are several comments to the effect that the WTBTS's hatred comes from the weakness of their own belief set. That is to say, they cannot present a watertight case for certain of their beliefs. So they take the easy option and make an outright adverse judgement of those who have left. I left some years ago, after a period of 'inactivity', because I found clear scriptural evidence for alternative and coherent doctrines. So although I left the WTBTS I most emphatically did *not* leave Yahweh.

It was reported to me that a lady in the local congregation had asked "Does he believe in evolution ?" This illustrates the mindset - "We cannot possibly be wrong, whatever next !!! Somehow it is *his* fault." Just for the record - No, I do not believe in evolution ! And yes, those who were a part of the WTBTS are indeed in the best position to present the real truth of the Bible's teachings, knowing the inside workings.

But here we have a sad scenario, as many who have left appear to have become embittered against any spiritual frame of mind, some even appear to have rejected God himself. But please be aware that the pain has not been caused by God, but by an organisation that is overly generous with self serving expressions, expressions of self-aggrandisement. Please do not abandon God on account of human wickedness.
