I don't remember going to many movies but I do remember turning off television though. When I would babysit I remember watching MTV and being overwhelmed w/guilt at viewing some of the videos and turning them off and praying! Another show that I would turn away from was Saturday Night Live at times. Talk about an overwhelming guilt! And to make matters worse, I felt like everyone knew what I had done! My Aid Book was worn out from reading the section on forgiveness!

Would Your "Spirit-Directed Conscience"Have Made You Walk Out Of A Movie?
by Englishman inthis was a fairly frequent occurence amongst the brothers and sisters in my young dubby days.
i was heaved out of the cinema on more than one occasion, generally by my mother who reckoned some things were just too much for my innocent young eyes and ears.
i only half saw:.

Thank Someone...
by FMZ init can be anyone... on or off jwd, family, friends, a deity.
just think of someone that did something special for you, and thank them.
either post a note of your appreciation, or call the person and just say "thankyou for....." and let us know how it goes.

What a nice thought to wake up to...thanking someone!
Today I want to thank my sister, Eyegirl, for being such a HUGE part of my life. I never really understood unconditional love before her showing it to me! She loves me no matter what, knows all my deepest and darkest secrets and never judges and makes me laugh till I piss my pants! We cry together, laugh together and dream together. I've never had a bond w/anyone as I do w/her....she brings so much to my life. THANKS BECK!

Rules
by onacruse inrules (speaking in the human sense) were developed since adam first met eve, and have been evolving ever since.
many such rules eventually become laws, though most are first subsumed as "natural" behavioralism.. rules (speaking in the theistic sense) are dictated by a higher moral being.
these rules become inexorably encrusted with age and superstition.. rules (speaking in the practical sense) are "what works for the time, and people of that time.".

Interesting read, Craig. Are you per chance referring to hard set "rules" which are black and white and ones that have "consequences" if broken OR are you talking of personal boundaries that we set w/in ourselves?

Do you still Pray?
by Dustin insince i stopped being a jw i haven't prayed.
so the other day i went to supper at my parent's house who are still jw's, and they prayed before we ate.
it was a very strange feeling, and it stirred up alot of weird feelings.

Yes, I do. And, I too can relate to what Nina commented..being able to seperate God from the dubs. Spirituality is a very important part in my life-and prayer is something that I do privately.

First Hand Account of the Tsunami
by xjw_b12 incj and i have been pouring through this blog over the day, and into this evening.
some very riveting and emotional stories from the people who were there when it hit.. kind of thing we may never get to see on the "news".
and i prefer to read people's first hand accounts rather than watch them on tv.. a prayer for those who were taken, and a hug and kiss to those that stayed behind and pitched in.. http://phukettsunami.blogspot.com/.

//What if Micheal Moore made a documentary on the WTS
by Goldminer in.
i recently watched the 9/11farenheit documentary and found it very interesting.how much is actually true and how much is not,i don't know, but i got the impression that micheal moore is for real and trying to open people's eyes to truths we don't see.. anyways,i was just sitting there, wondering what kind of documentary he'd come up with if he decided he wanted to look into the wts.i believe it would be very interesting, and definitely an eye-opener.of course the shallow-minded jw would say it's all propaganda no matter how clear the subject was presented.. i'd love to hear your thoughts on this ...any ideas for a title?

I think that would be a wonderful idea! I have yet to watch F 9/11, am waiting for it to be delivered to my door from blockbuster. Anxious to see it though. I really do like the idea of a WTS one though!
