  does anyone know where to view the wtbts of new york and pennsylvania's financial records?.

  i mean, they are registered charities aren't they, so surely their income/expenditures must be open to scrutiny?.

  i recall that it was lower than the spectacular estimates floated by many. If they used KHs as collateral for loans, it may be much now.

  annual meeting 2019—talks and 2020 year textthe governing body members are nothing but a bunch of weasels.

  here is a talk by jeffrey jackson on how the governing body ''the slave class'' has remained spiritually awake over 100 years and alerted its members.. he looks back on the ''faithful and discreet slaves'' false dates over the 100 years: '' but at times, we look back over 100 years, and there were times they got excited about a certain year or time, and the end didn't come at that time.''.

  he makes the comparison between the ''slave class ( who disappointed others when the end didn't come ) to a barking watchdog ( who in his enthusiasm barks at nothing in the middle of the night and wakes up the owner).

  An attorney who successfully negotiated many settlements against them said that in discovery, they could bankrupt in less than 3 years. That was a year ago.

  They had all KHs appraised a couple of years ago. Why? To sell them or use as collateral. Collateral sounds more like the answer since an appraisal on property is only good for a short time.

  They have lots of corporations, but many are used for doing things without exposing them to public scrutiny. A former CO who identified himself as having been in Legal, was recorded saying WT was still in the UN as an NGO. An innocuous corporation would be helpful to keep that from getting out, and they have many.

  if the govt cracked down on the practice of bogus corporations, it would stop a lot of nefarious activity.

  how things have changed, apparently they totally forgot i am an "evil apostate" two good looking ladies came to my door, my wife opened the door.. handed my wife the tract and said they are simply inviting people in the area, nothing further, not even a bible or other literature in their hand.. the invitation is small, like the size that a small 3-fold tract used to be.

  i remember the last invitation was at least a proper sheet of paper.

  and thin, you can see right through it.

  Reports like this just keep coming in! If it was from one area only, you better believe the Branch would arrange for a zone visit to whip the region back into shape. Heads would roll by god!!!!!!!

  But it is everywhere and WTC seems helpless to to do anything about it.

  Yet, I still read comments on Reddit about WTC being strong. It is beyond belief to me that anyone still thinks WTC can recover!!!

  F Franz was against it. R Franz was for it.

  It was a power struggle of the sandlot variety and it took decades to award control to the few GBers. Wrestling the F&D title from non-GB was a walk in the park compared to the politics of Bethel.

  I recall a very weird Blite once telling me that he longed for the days of the strong Bethel President. (He was referring to Knorr)

  I said it was the worst arrangement conceivable (oooops!). He gave me a look that would make Hitler afraid. But the chariot was on my side (at the time at least). Now the GB are gods and I would be DF'd for speaking out against them.

  So maybe it wasn't the THE WORST arrangement ever.

  Jehovah's Witnesses and Tattoos

  i was wondering about the jw attitude towards getting tattoos.. redditors suggest that the only jws who have them would have got them before they were baptised.. jw.org gives a meally-mouthed "true christians wouldn't" response.. but no-one (that i've seen so far) answers the question i'm actually asking: is getting a tattoo after being baptised a disfellowshipping offence?.

  if not disfellowshipable, how would a typical jw congregation treat someone who got a tattoo after baptism?

  would they really treat it like it is a conscience issue?.

  I know of a sister who was dealt with judicially over a tattoo only a few years ago. It is as serious as the local BOE decides that they want it to be.
