  this one scripture has bothered me for a while.

  i've asked elders everywhere on this one and just get confused looks.... according to a wt in 1953, the nwt rendering of 1:1 at the time was: "paul, an apostle of christ jesus thru god's will, to the holy ones who are also faithful ones in union with christ jesus.".

  wouldn't the correct rendering be: "paul, an apostle of christ jesus thru god's will, to the holy ones who are [in ephesus] who are also faithful ones in union with christ jesus."???

  I see that it was the humans who cause the suffering and humans (officers) that allowed it. People can truly be evil as well as complacently evil.

  I see so many today blame God for the evils that humans impose upon one another. Do these that blame God have a direct link or channel of communication with God, so they know exactly that God is the one causing and allowing the suffering?

  I am no longer a Ministerial Servant

  yesterday was announced that i was not longer a ministerial servant.

  to be honest i felt really good about it.

  Hello Scott,

  Enjoyed reading your experience. What is it that attracts you to the Bible Students? I have had several contacts with the BS over the last four years, mainly over the internet and email. I see many of them in the same boat as the JWs as far as our belief is right and yours is wrong attitude. I also see them putting Russell on a pedestal. If you look at the various BS sites they are always pushing Studies in the Scriptures and Russell's works. Many and I do mean most will claim that Russell has done more to bring about truths of God than any man other than Christ. If I were you, I would do some research on the early history of the WT and the Bible Students. I would not want to jump from one frying pan into another so fast. Give yourself some time and think about what you really want and enjoy your family.

  I have seen much discord among the various Bible Student movements. Don't take my word for it, research for yourself.

  I am sure if RR see's this thread, he will have 2 cents to put in. He is a Bible Student.

  You missed my point. I said, being God gave us the logic we use, or do not use at times, who is that God that gave us logic.

  According to the many belief systems we have, there are more than one God. I wanted to know what God gives you your logic, DUMMY!

  I also want to know why you find it in yourself to belittle those that may have a difference of opinion with you. Is this an insecurity problem you have?
