Overweight Jehovah’s Witnesses
by minimus inwhat was your kingdom hall like when it came to overweight witnesses?
i remember counseling some people on their drinking habits.
a few snickered that if we were going to counsel them because they have had way too many at a wedding reception, what about very overweight witnesses that have a lifestyle of overindulgence?

I came a hall where a bunch of them got their stomach stapled and they all lost a lot of weight in a big hurry but it made them look like they were dying of cancer instead of healthy living. They all seemed to all have this very morbid glow about them.
I actually knew a few people in the community who asked me " How much time does Mr.Doe have to live, sorry to hear about your friend. ".

Looking to learn
by kimmy insorry if i shouldn't be posting this, i am not jw however i have had past experiences with jw's and was learning a lot about the religion, in hopes to convert one day.
it all ended suddenly and i guess i feel guilty for not learning more, i would get scared at the thought of bible studies and discussions in case it brought back memories.
i was looking for any advice on the best ways i can find out more please.

Jesus only died for the faithful slave which use to mean the 144 but now means 8 men called the governing body. You can’t be born again but as luck would have it though your works and obedience to these magical seven wizards and joining this super cool club , you can live forever on paradise earth.
Better yet if you can’t live up to this works based salvation you can always commit suicide and get a free trip and do over in paradise . Just make sure you off yourself before Armageddon or your fucked.
FYI if you ever try to leave or find it it’s a ridiculous cult your friends and family will never talk to to ever again.

How about we all go to some Ted Nugent message board or Fox News message board and start 50 threads each day about the Jehovah Witness experience and see how it goes over.
Like really, you can't figure why you people might turned off by the constant " Obama eats aborted babies " " Biden bathes in the blood of virgins ". Its not even intelligent political discussion, its just the lowest common denominator nonsense. Its hard to tell when the Fox news ends and the Onion begins sometimes.
It would actually be funny if it wasn't do dam dangerous.

When my son was born , I had not been active for a number of years. No one made an issue about it because I told them to stay away from me and my side of the family were not JWs. My wife who is active gets the bright idea she wants to show over her new baby boy to one of the elders. I told her it, I thought it was a bad idea but just came along to basically try and protect my family. We get there and holy shit, there are three of them waiting for us. I just walked into an ambush.
We were not there for more than five minutes and it was " do you believe in the trinity , do you believe hell is a literal place " etc etc. Every unique dogma and legalization of the WTS, they wanted to have a fight about. I was known to be kind of a mouth piece in the meetings.
Meanwhile, My poor wife is sitting there wanting to show off this new bundle of joy. Just heartbroken. I was " lets go ", this is not appropriate.
My point being , its not really appropriate to flood this board with right wing nonsense and politics. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. You would think there would be more suitable websites to hang out at. At the rate this place is going it will be nothing be the 12 members of the Montana Militia and that is too bad.

my question, how did they get the information that all these 20,000 jws were not vaccinated?.

Did You Think The Majority of Elders Were “Qualified “?
by minimus inin my opinion, in a body of elders let’s say with 7 elders , 2 or 3 were pretty much on the ball.
they were reasonable, intelligent and moderate.
the others were either extremely extreme about everything or very liberal.. did you have qualified older men or were they all lousy to you?

I just found most halls to be lead by one or two somewhat intelligent narcissists, surrounded by half retarded yes men. I mean, just the dumbest of the dumb.
Qualified ? I am not really sure what that means.
Theology trained bible teachers ? No
Guidance counselors, dealing with the issues of suicide, divorce, mental health ? Good god no.
Cleaning experts ? Carpets, windows, bathrooms ? Yes.

After spending a lifetime of being indoctrinated about the dangers of worldly people and the villainization of ex-members , its hits kind of a raw nerve hearing about the dangers of people wanting come to America to work shitty jobs no one else wants to work. Or the people who spent a lifetime hearing about the dangers of higher education suddenly seem to know more than all the worlds scientists and doctors.
For all the people who saying , if you don't like it , just scroll past it need to realize.
1. Your constant circle jerk is annoying as hell to scroll past each day. Its like deleting scam from your email.

The real disappointing part is watching ex-jws falling for populist nonsense and half retarded conspiracy theories. You would think of there were a people on this planet that just had there fill of narcissist stupidity it would be cult survivors. It seems like some are just trading one vice for another.
