by fulltimestudent inin a scene reminiscent of the fall of saigon, the usa embassy staff have been evacuated by helicopter.. for a third time in asia ( a fourth, if you count usa supported chiang kai shek's defeat in mainland china) usa supported forces have been defeated.
more than 1 trillion dollars wasted and a huge deathtoll (both sides) afghanistan is back to where it started,.
will the taliban behave differently this time ?

US forces had already been in decline since the Trump administration and the peace accords had already been signed before Biden was even in office. The real decision made here by the Biden administration was to follow though with the plans Trump already made.

It’s sure strange how the people of Afghanistan just seemed to want to be ruled by pro law and order religious zealots.
Least they won’t have to worry about any vaccine drives or mask mandates.
Now the US army can do what is was intended to do. Building field hospitals in red states for covid victims.

for months, we've thought that vaccine rates have been incredibly strong among our community..
for example, a pew poll in march found that 90% of atheist respondents indicated they'd already received the first vaccine dose or would "definitely" or "probably" seek the shot..

Maybe a person should form there opinions about covid by just looking at the raw data being released by the individual health authorities of each state, province and nation. At least the United States and Canada. I think you will find an amazing trend falling into place.
A. The vaccine isn't killing people ( I feel like I just lost 10 I.Q points even having to explain that one.)
B. The vaccine is actually working quite well at preventing serious illness and death.
" Critical thinking " isn't scouring the internet looking for pseudoscience nonsense.
Just like Jews have higher intelligence quotients, blacks are better at speed positions in sports, ex-Jws tend to be gullible idiots.

If you want to talk WW2 , it was actually the Soviets who defeated Germany. The shear size of the Eastern front and the men and equipment involved and the lose of life was insane compared to the Allies in Italy and France.
I try and stress this point when taking to JWs about being banned in Russia about how much blood was spilled protecting the motherland and how going door to door telling people its not right to join the military because eight wizards in America is pretty insulting.

All the Taliban did was just wait till the American went home. They hardly even engaged western forces, so I wouldn't say it was a military defeat.
Oh well, It wouldn't be my son fighting over there. Not worth it.

Ironically the most vaccinated group in the US is the Jewish American and also the most educated. Gee, I wonder if there is some kind of connection.
The whole making reference to the holocaust and how Jews were treated in WW2 when discussing vaccine passports and restrictions must be super insulting.

by minimus inwhat was your kingdom hall like when it came to overweight witnesses?
i remember counseling some people on their drinking habits.
a few snickered that if we were going to counsel them because they have had way too many at a wedding reception, what about very overweight witnesses that have a lifestyle of overindulgence?

I came a hall where a bunch of them got their stomach stapled and they all lost a lot of weight in a big hurry but it made them look like they were dying of cancer instead of healthy living. They all seemed to all have this very morbid glow about them.
I actually knew a few people in the community who asked me " How much time does Mr.Doe have to live, sorry to hear about your friend. ".
