I met a 104 year old man today

i was at a mall trying on shoes and this old man is in a wheelchair near me.

Revelation 3:10 talks of those who will be exempted and kept from the so called great tribulation. The great tribulation for those who didn't prove themselves. That scripture alone throws out the entire WT teaching about the GT of the bible.

Don't JWs teach that this generation who saw the events of 1914 had to be baptized in 1914 or before?

I have in my research a the whole chain, but without pulling it up, if I remember correctly the generation teaching morphed as follows......

1. Jesus evidently meant Those who were annointed or of it during 1914 (meaning they would have been adults).

2. As #1 timing was getting close to closure, then added time by saying Jesus evidently meant just anybody old enough to understand the events of 1914, any 15 year old or older wouldn't die until the end.

3. Then it was Jesus evidently meant anybody born in 1914, that generation wouldn't die until the end.

4. Then it was Jesus evidently meant a generation symbolic of things happening around the time period of 1914. (in early 1990s)

5. Then it was "The stupid rank and file have been trying to predict or put a date and time period to the end, and the bible clearly says that can not be done, the generation shouldn't try to be predicted. The GB have never done that, it's always been the rank and file's fault". (in the mid/late 1990's)

6. Then the GB started predicting again with another Jesus evidently meant, forgot what the immediate one after was.

7. Now the latest, Jesus evidently meant an overlapping generation.

Let's thank the unfaithful and reckless slave for this new light, as they show they have 100% God's backing with these timely updates and that anybody who doesn't listen to them should DIE!

Just unreal! I hate this cult and the lives it destroys.

Russia has taken a stand against them! Need to get other countries to follow suit and ban extremist and dangerous commands from religions and if they persist then ban them outright like Russia is doing.

This got me to thinking what is the oldest person alive. Currently the oldest female is 117 and male is 113. In just a few years, there will not be anybody alive left who was born 1914. The 1914 generation has long passed away. In a few years, there will not be a person alive who was born that year.

Evolution has no need for an "intelligent designer". There is no question that cannot be answered by naturalistic methods. Methodological Naturalism is the bedrock of science.

No question that can't be answered? We are still unable to create plants and animals out of nothing or show the exact recipe of chance, chemicals, etc that resulted in all we see. As soon as humans start creating life from scratch, from just chemicals that would have existed as the start of earth, then I might believe that. But your argument to me is like saying anything with a recipe can spontaneous appear, a chocolate cake, apple pie. Let's see on an apple pie, white gets ground up into flour by falling down and rocks rubbing against it, then gets some water, becomes dough, and a tree falls down and flattens it, then some apples not too far away fell down and rolled over and sharp rocks happened to cut them up and they land atop the dough. cinnamon and sugar find their way into it, then a tree falls down hits the rock the partially done pie was on, it catapults to a nearby forest fire that has been dying down, and the hot embers cook it. Now this pie is IMPOSSIBLE for humans to make, but all those random acts of nature made it. And then from that apple turnovers, apple bread, apple dumpling, etc.

All the billions of life happened to have these coincidences happen, but yet we can't do it. Why is it we can duplicate and improve upon anything in nature except having to do with life? As soon as we start designing from scratch all types of animal and plant life, which should be a piece of cake since everything on earth just happened by chance like my apple pie example, it should be super easy for us to do it all.

All science has shown is the similarities and links to life. And the 'exisiting' life evolving.

So how did life with hundreds of proteins originate just by chemistry without intelligent design?

For some reason, many people like Cofty think that if the even entertain the idea that life could have been by intelligent design, then that means they would admit the god of the old testament is real and creator of the universe. They can't comprehend that intelligent design merely means intelligent design, whether by another biological lifeform, spirit, computer simulation, etc, it absolutely has nothing to do or prove any god of any religion. But they can't comprehend that, so they have 100% faith that it's all spontaneous or the god of the bible and that's it.

Showing comparisons and similarities in DNA does not automatically equate that everything spawned from a common ancestor and down to spontaneous life.

If one was to write DNA code from scratch and design lifeforms, take the example of modern computer programming. Tell me who programs in binary today, using 01001110011000, starting at that point, to then come up with the most modern software today. Nobody. Core and shell parts of software and interfaces are used so as not to repeat the same crap over and over again, to be more efficient. So had life on Earth been by intelligent design, (God, aliens, spirits, other biological lifeforms, a person and we are all inside a computer simulation, etc), it would make sense for all to share DNA similarities to an extent.
