What Name Does the New Testament Emphasize - Jehovah or Jesus?

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. 1 John 4:15 -

I totally agree with you that everything was done in Jesus's name. But this was Jehovah's decision to vindicate and glorify His name trough his son. He wished to exalt Jesus to the highest position in the Universe but not above himself.
"You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away, and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him."John 3:16-17"and a voice came from the heavens: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”Mark 1:1
“I will announce the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have fathered You. ‘Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession. Psalms 2:7
"Jesus spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You, just as You gave Him authority over all mankind, so that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life."John 17:1-2
"God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say, “You are My Son, Today I have fathered You”? And again, “I will be a Father to Him And He will be a Son to Me”? And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.” But regarding the Son He says, “Your throne, God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom. “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.”
Hebrews 1:1-6, 8-9
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross."Colossians 1:15-20
Jesus is not a mere creature, he is the only son of God, he is God but not the Almighty God, as he was created in God's likeness. After that everything and everyone else was created through Him and for Him. He is the mediator between the man and God. That's why WT are where they are now because they abandoned Jesus and tried to bypass Him and go directly to Jehovah. Jesus said that nobody can have a relationship with the Father but trough Him.
Jesus was given life in himself. He didn't have life in himself (he wasn't immortal) in the beginning after he was createdby Jehovah, whereas the Father who doesn't have a beginning, is and has always been immortal.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, a time is coming and even now has arrived, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man."

"So, when we answer the question of who resurrected Jesus, we can say God did. And by that we can mean it was the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."
Yes SB "you can say" but the bible doesn't say and we know what says in the bible about those who adds words to it.
Jesus clearly explained what oneness with his Father means. If you don't believe Him it's only because you don't want to give up your understanding of who God is. Jesus always pointed out he was the son of God not god himself. Again if you don't want to accept that I am not going to argue.
"I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are. “I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me."
John 17:11, 20-23
Why is so difficult to understand these words of Jesus?
I don't expect all the Christians Jesus talking about here to be added to your understanding of God.

"But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man death came, by a Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to our God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death. For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is clear that this excludes the Father who put all things in subjection to Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all."
1 Corinthians 15:20-28"Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11"Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation."
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
"just as You gave Him authority over all mankind, so that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life."
John 17:2
"But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you. Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom."
Luke 12:31-32
"And He said to her, “What do you desire?” She *said to Him, “Say that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine shall sit, one at Your right, and one at Your left.” He *said to them, “My cup you shall drink; but to sit at My right and at My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”
Matthew 20:21, 23
"Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” saying, “We give You thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign."
Revelation 11:15, 17"Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6"For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."
John 5:22-24"For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
John 6:38, 40You need to understand the reason why the new testament emphasizes the name of Jesus.
The kingdom of the new world was given to Jesus, he and his church had to advertise that kingdom.
It's Jehovah's will that things are done this way so His name will be glorified.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:16-18
"The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own, but the Father, as He remains in Me, does His works. And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

Nobody could have been justified by the mosaic law so everyone was a sinner before God.
Every human being that is to be saved and justified it's only through the belief in Jesus sacrifice.
I hope these bible verses gives you the answer.
"because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in God’s merciful restraint He let the sins previously committed go unpunished; for the demonstration, that is, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where then is boasting? It has been excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one. Do we then nullify the Law through faith? Far from it! On the contrary, we establish the Law."
Romans 3:20-22, 24-31
"nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Far from it! For if I rebuild what I have once destroyed, I prove myself to be a wrongdoer. For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”
Galatians
However, after someone is saved they need to walk in the good works god prepared for them.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
Ephesians 2:8-10
"Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well."
Galatians 5:19-25
"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit."

Yes Terry!
Your post is very accurate.
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that person (organisation) ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man(organisation), unstable in all his ways."

You keep making accusations!
Yes I hope I will be found righteous otherwise:
"you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9, 11. However,"A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart."
Proverbs 21:2"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."Matthew 6:3
"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry."
Psalm 34:15I don't know what the WT currently teachings are, but Jesus is the mediator between man and God.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."John 14:6
“Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven."Matthew 10:32-33
And I am not with WT as they are now. My relationship with Jehovah and Jesus is not conditioned by a human organisation or another person. I only associate with the people that are genuine truth seekers.
"Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel."Hebrews 12:1-2, 22-24
And I am not lying I always try to tell the truth of the bible as God guides me.

SB,
I understand you believe what you believe, but that is not necessarily true.
I also base my belief on the bible as I understand it. If I am wrong God will decide. I don't tend to tell people they are wrong. I only tell them what I believe.
First of all I didn't say righteous people I said peaceful people which is a different thing. Peaceful people are those who love peace and doesn't mean they don't have sinned.
“Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:5-9
Yes, people sin because of their nature but that it's a consequence of Adam's rebellion and sin. And yes I believe Jesus's sacrifice .
"Now to the one who works, the wages are not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered. “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”
Romans 4:4-6After being saved people can't sin anymore.
“And their sins and their lawless deeds I will no longer remember.” Now where there is forgiveness of these things, an offering for sin is no longer required. For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:17-18, 26-27
I can't agree with you on trinity and that Michael is not Jesus.
“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued."
Daniel 12:1 NASB2020"and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life."Revelation 21:27
“Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
"For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short."
Matthew 24:3, 21-22Same tribulation when Michael comes, as well as Jesus's second coming .
Origin: The name Michael is of Hebrew origin and means “who is like God?” or “gift from God.
"And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they. But regarding the Son He says, “Your throne, God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom. “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.”Hebrews 1:3-4, 8-9“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."John 3:16
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 6:23
Jesus explains here very clearly that oneness with God it's unity of purpose and action.
“I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me.
John 17:20-23 NASB2020
"If you see my you se my father " -Jesus meant that he was representing the Father:
"I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him."“I can do nothing on My own. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.John 5:30
John 5:43 because Jesus is the mediator between man and God.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 1:18 and no man can see God an live.
Moreover, Jesus was dead for three days and then was resurrected by his Father, whereas the bible says that Jehovah is immortal.
We can carry on like this forever. I don't se how you can prove your point without omitting all this evidence.
"But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will repay each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life; but to those who are self-serving and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give wrath and indignation."

Hi SB
I see you hate badly JW's
You will never understand God's power and his purpose with regards to human race. He sent Jesus to save the human race and to gather all peaceful people from around the earth. Human race always tried to take charge and never waited fo God's help. They never put total trust in Him. That's why so much violence and war throughout human history.
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent. For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation."
Psalms 91:1-7, 9-11, 14-16
"This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, And delivereth them. Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good: Blessed is the man that taketh refuge in him. Oh fear Jehovah, ye his saints; For there is no want to them that fear him."
Psalms 34:6-9
"Behold, Jehovah’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, so that he will not hear."
Isaiah 59:1-2 ASV
"Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek Jehovah! Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evil-doers, and against the help of them that work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit: and when Jehovah shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall stumble, and he that is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together."
Isaiah 31:1-3
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. And ye shall call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

my interest was only in pleasing god and still is.

Tenyearsafter,
"And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier."
2 Timothy 2:2-4
There is a difference between secular life and life of a Christian.
As regards with celebrations, some are secular so they don't have any religious motives while others are religious celebrations which need to be carefully considered as it has to do with your worship to God. It also depends on the motivation and the history behind everything you celebrate. Paul also said that if someone wanted to hold a day for God to do it, if don't, it's his/hers choice. I find that Christmas is too commercially driven. Too many things mixed up. I don't see it as celebration dedicated to Christ. Christianity is not formalism as Vanderhoven always points out, so I took the freedom in not doing anything I don't find constructive in my relationship with God and his Son.
