  Book study this week...more trumpeting over the organzations greatness

  you know, there are some studies that are painful to sit through because of the blatant lies or bull shite spewing from the platform.

  then there are those that seem to have no reason for even taking place.. such was the case for last nights congregation bible study.. all it did was talk about how many books and magazines have been published over the years and "aren't we wonderful that we print so much stuff"?

  this is a study into important biblical things?

  Finding Peace in Older Age

  a cool sense of tranquility overtakes my troubled spirit.. i emerge slowly from a deeply entrenched, lifelong nightmare and proceed into gentle reverie, into quiet wakefulness.

  youthful ideals, embodied in vaporous form before me, are a black reminiscence, threatening to return as an untold want having neither name nor substance, only a niggling dig that skewers my soul.. i shut it out, shut out all the noise in the head: irrational thought, excessive thinking that leads to depression, to insanity.

  yet, i am hopeful that devils of the past are blocked approach to me by a portcullis that guards both heart and mind.. i see but darkly my amorphous reflection and sense it is a phantom, not the real me.

  CC, my words can not soar to your heights of expression.

  What gives me comfort is, that hopefully, when the day comes, I will not be fighting for my life, but feel it as a deserved stop, rest. I am in the last 10% of my life run, and the picture of a spiraling descent would be alarming to me, spins always end catastrophically, and I hope for the more common smooth landing, out of fuel, out of heights, or, not use my flying days' analogy, but surfing experience. --riding the last wave right onto the beach, as the sun sets.

  some people like to believe in something others believe in nothing; so in what location did the substance that expanded into the time/space universe exist before the big bang?

  where did the energy that caused the big band come from?

  how did the substance that became the big bang change from being inert and sterile and come to life to having the properties and drive that it does?

  Anyone who believes that light can behave like a wave or particle depending on the experiment may as well accept the Trinity.

  an apt visualization of the wave-particle duality of light is in ocean waves. They are a rotary local movement traveling through the Ocean, but become forward hitting matter on the beach, and can kill you once the energy is released in the form of forward, downward motion, the bore.

  it is believed that photons, and some sub-atomic particles (not being 3 dimensional) do not occupy space) Fisherman

  photons in a vacuum also do not occupy time, but time does not disappear because of that.

  photons, in movement, exist in two space dimensions, but space has not disappeared because of that, so: at least time might be fundamental and some kind of ur space.

  Positive and negative energy might balance to zero in an equation or on [a] balance, but that does not mean zero, but 2 energies. The same with matter, vs. antimatter, not zero matter, but 2 matters. (or a lot of energy if the equation is solved)

  Infinity is just that, going from negative infinity through zero to positive infinity still gives you only infinity,

  Gravity, a result of matter via Higgs, slows down, even halts movement through time, but that does not make time disappear, because it exists regardless of that distinct gravity field. so:

  with both time and energy, ur dimensions possibly fundamental, the conditions are set for pre-big bang scenarios, beyond our ken, imho.

  blondie, thanks for cutting through the fog.again. my 2 cents, for wt's downplaying the anointed's annoying fleshly corruption:

  Par. 8, translating I Cor.5:1 as "--living with his father's wife", rather than "having" (NWT) or "sleeping" with her, perhaps one of his 18 year old step mothers. ? The anointed would not do that, would they? , they are only one heartbeat away from perfect immortality, .-- living with them perhaps. not more. WT white wash.

  A serious question for any who believe in any God of any religion who think God is interested in humans.

  the world health organization states that in the year 2015 ,5.9 million children died under the age of 5 years of age.. in 2010 the death rate for children under the age of 5 years of age was 7.6 million.

  thats over 13 million in just 2 years .

  i dont think you need to be a rocket scientist to conclude that since mankind has been on the earth for however long you want to believe and i`m just going on a conservative estimate of 6000 years by the above figures i quoted their would be billions of children under 5 yearsof age that would have died.

  Considering that all species produce fruit, offspring to procreate, we as top predators are the lucky ones. Consider the millions of seeds a Sequoia produces in it's lifetime, only one surviving needed to replace the parent, keep the species going.--
