Waton, how do believe the writers were lying?

Ultimately, this is not about the writers but the facts. The impossible happenings. The Universe is a miracle enough.

These 'miracles' require the overruling of the laws of Nature. A character, that is so mercilessly requiring the slaughter of a victim as a "corresponding ransom" and the death of all descendants over a bite of fruit does not fit , as the author, or proofreader of the bible.

These story tellers were ignorant, trying to create a comfort zone in a scary world.

By contrast, the Joseph story is at least possible, only dreams correctly interpreted. good lessons for monopoly merchandising too.

i recall having to go in the ministry, not just saturday but strongly encouraged to go out sunday after the meeting.

then they had the lame idea to organize evening witnessing, or maybe before the midweek book study.

it could be minus 40 and there would still be a group organized.

it was economical to get your 150 pioneer hours in, you were already showered and all dressed up, so why not before, after meetings at all hours of the longer summer days? and if you could drag a hapless publisher along that gave you browny points, and easy "just listening" time for the non-professional.

Why is the bible such an accurate time keeper? (look into it if you haven't, I mean actually look into it)

false, Light from the beginning is 13 billion years old, near the Big Bang, The Sun / Earth only 4.5 billion. A lot of work had to be done after the first Energy Conversion to lead to our existence, but the bible is wrong, and that is only the start. Done by early science fiction writers.

you have to see how service is done to do these letters. Sisters on zoom chatting about what sisters chat about , all the profound things happening in the circuit and beyond, while one of them, (preferred not baptized to make sure of the time count) cuts out figurines, flowers to be pasted on paper and hand addressed , then slowly mailed later. 10 minutes of this for every human on earth per year.

They're almost certainly not of "this generation" via the over-lapping side hustle.

Diogenesister, It is difficult to peer into the angels' action of Rev.7, where they "seal" or anoint the prospective GB members. Traditionally anointing happens at baptism,( Jesus, Cornelius) although most will not be inclined to also start partaking of communion then.

All generations, however defined, anointed or wicked, run consecutively anyway. A partaker could become an anointed later , as were the original 11. On age alone they overlapped with the Frantzes of this world.

The anointed generation is academic anyway. wt says they will pass away to heaven at the outset of the Great Tribulation, to fight as immortals at Armageddon.

The wt anointed generation of 1914 needs a re-generation. badly.

Anony Mous, sadly as these small nations have learned, neutrality will expose them to the constant threat of yet another military action. Even with any settlement of the current invasion of the Ukraine, this sword of Damocles will keep hanging over the perimeter of the presently contained empire.

Sad that the Russian people so long-suffering, of a rich and vast territory, are among the least prosperous of all Eurasia. They deserve a standard offered from Spain to Japan. The current adventurism, will set them back again from that noble goal.

Anony Mouse, perhaps you have never lived in the independent Soviet (Russian) republics stretching from Finland to Baku, or liberated by the Red Army.

Russia is an imperial power, emperiling its neighbours. Trouble is for the Rubel , that these distinct nations may be small, but not pushovers like the areas colonized by England, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany.

Of course Russians are suffering because of this at the fringes of their empire, but the population deserves a continued break from millennia of expansionism, A break it got after the Gorby era.

back in the day when i was a young witness lad, you very much got the impression that at least the training as theocratic teachers was good.. even the bible reading back then had a short introduction and conclusion.

you had to research and prepare your own ministry school talks and then perhaps you would graduate to a half of a 55 minute public talk.

then later if you were a book study conductor, you got to decide which scriptures to read and highlight.

yeah, back then, during the big increase years, you could introduce a sense of humour into the talk or study,

wt has stopped training public speakers. good discussions at the doors have degenerated to shoving, showing a JWOrg link into people faces. the same text for weeks on end repeated.

No wonder no new "converts " are showing up at the halls.

PS: at least on the blood issue, individuality is now mandated. ha ha.
