  i'm sure this has been discussed, but 1914 has to go away.

  instead of, the overlapping generation teaching, they should have just ditched 1914. .

  they should have done that a long time ago with 1975. it's the last of the teachings in the charles taze russell era.. i'm thinking they just will stop talking about it, and it will be out of the mind of the rank and file loyal witnesses .

  The 1914 thing for wt has turned into an exercise of navel gazing, in that it is now the beginning of the anointed generation.

  Scripture has it , that the last generation will see the end, pass away after all has occurred. happened, kind of, in the first century for Jerusalem.

  The current wt anointed generation, are slated to pass away way before the end, when it just barely gets rolling. at the onset of the Great Tribulation, the precursor to the battle.

  So far wt has preached the old lie, "you will not die", (because you are in the 1914 generation.) The overlap takes them to 2075. all they have to do is to drop the anointing.

  How did they end the 1914 teaching fiasko in the Years after? they did not. instead they proclaimed, incredibly form 1918-25***:

  "The World has ended [as we predicted in in 1914] millions now living will never die." *** proclaimers book 424-26

  The minutiae about how they miscalculated 1914 are irrelevant. false is false.

  They will end the 1914 teaching with something similarly misleading, falsely prophesied. The overlapping group generation is only the start.

  the have a syndicate (governing body) regional bosses (district overseers), captians (circuit overseers), and elders are their "made men" that enforce policy at street level.

  if you run your mouth too much, they wipe out your whole family (disfellowshipping).

  Wt revisionism,; wt leadership had the end of the world, their rapture down to the day and hour. internally. They used 1914, when introducing the overlapping group to show how close the end is .

  all these endless posts now are about how wt entered into the 1914 morass, the Opening Post was about how how wt will wriggle out of the now expired 1914 end times trap.

  wt entered through a false prophecy: "the world will end we will go to heaven". 1914 happened, wt 's predictions did not materialize.

  The 1914 teaching will not end, it is a permanent stain on the wt prediction record.

  bible says flood occurred approximately 4000 years ago.

  that is about *200 generations of breeding to get to the population on earth now.

  keep in mind that the population increase is geometric.

  i’m sure you’ve realised by now that something isn’t quite right with me as i haven’t been around in months.

  Fisherman, thanks for telling us that jw, watchtower beliefs are wishful thinking. . that is scary, the deity is telling us, help is coming as surely as the fairytales are true, really happened as told.
