  i was just thinking this morning about the court cases wt is facing and although i do think there are enough of them is there just enough in them to pin it to wt.

  i sort of get the feeling a lot of these cases are revolving around the definition of terms and also an attitude of could-a, should-a, would-a.

  even with the latest example it raised more questions than solutions and i'm guessing that's why it was settled out of court.

  There's stuff they can do about it.

  As you might know from my posts I am no fan of wt leading. but we hear so much of the occasions in failings of the elders/ branches. but

  there might also be far more vigilance (not vigilanti ) in the local congregations, that are not in the limelight. After all, I have not seen any group of people where mores are more defined, watched, controlled than in lapland .

  The Catholic church admitted that 1in 7 priest abused minors. often multiple times in multiple locations,(and that does not include the rank & file). By comparison wt runs a clean maschine. Evolution has primed males to mate with ideal, young females. look at the mags centerfolds, the haute couture gangways to get the picture. Modern laws have removed this prime younger market segment from the 18-68 competition. The reptile in us is not tamed, and. wt is caught in the squeeze.

  so i would love to hear and make more comments here on how "self-brainwashing" is done in jehovah's witnesses and how it becomes a problem when trying to wake up our loved ones.leah remini was on bill maher's show on friday, feb. 17th.

  she had some great comments about things said on her series about scientology.

  one was how members are "self-brainwashing" because they spend some hours every day doing self-study.

  "--Mom wanted to know if that was in the "Proclaimers" Book or somewhere she could show the young JW that it WAS TRUE!! If only they really knew the real "JW Heritage" rather than their re-written shenanigans of "truth". . Doc. .

  A recommended read. Slight correction on 1975:

  The numbers did not climb after 1975, but started to decline one year after. It apparently took a few month to sink in, that this was a total failure, and not a miscalculation by a few weeks, or something that should be glossed over,. -- or strengthen the faith.??

  Possibly many, included us, were in total denial, stubbornly not admitting to ourselves, and to others that we had been had, and kept going.- sort of.

  Will the next generation act like that too, when the overlapping generation peters out, past 2075 ?

  "--there were concentration camps in Poland,--" never a jw:

  that is how these stories are slanted. There were no polish concentration camps! until 1945.

  you know, there are some studies that are painful to sit through because of the blatant lies or bull shite spewing from the platform.

  then there are those that seem to have no reason for even taking place.. such was the case for last nights congregation bible study.. all it did was talk about how many books and magazines have been published over the years and "aren't we wonderful that we print so much stuff"?

  this is a study into important biblical things?
