  i answered a question on quora about jw flip flops .

  i mentioned, amongst other things , the 1975 debacle.

  how witnesses were told that armageddon was coming in the fall of that year.

  it was stated that 1975 was the end of 6000 years of human history

  R 350, and the sentence in the book finished: it therefore appropriate that the 1000 year would begin in that year.

  That is a different issue to be dealt with because the Messianic Kingdom and the Millennium only address the consequences of the sin of Adam and Eve.

  FM: Wt keeps harping on the sovereignty issue, and that is what they want the armageddon repeat mess cleared up during their (7X7) days senario, during the rest day too 6X1 =7 . That is why in wt literature the final test happens "at the end of the 1000 years" not after the count past 1000 is ended.

  If you look at the jubilee year cycle, there is of course year 50, after the 49th year, 7x7 is finished.

  my in-laws are two such people.

  people who pioneered and did not work and try to save, instead they made just enough to get by and waited for the end to come.

  now my mil is in palliative care and the state is paying for her keep, my fil lives in a dilapidated home and can not keep it up.

  pp, These kids, could not go to university, because their father would have lost their elder positions. They are now in good paying trades, with the measly, wt scripted spirituality as MSs, and junior "elders"

  LGH, good observation, only one or too of The Great Generation were true, no holds barred committed believers and are in poverty, many others are in above average wealth.

  If I recall, JW teaching in the yellow Kingdom of 1000 years book published in the 1970s,

  F: but consistently wt has still, within the last year used their hackneyed phrase " at the end of the thousand years". which reflects their wishful thinking that after the 7000/1000 years are ended, there will no more mess to be dealt with.

  Creative Sabbath would fit perfectly in time to fulfill God’s purpose for humanity: 6000+1000=7000

  F: wt still clings to that fixed time frame. They still, in recent writings refused to admit that the final test, destruction in the lake of fire will occur in the post-millennium period. In the projected wt land, it still al happens "at the end of the 1000 year rule" . not after. as the scriptures specify.

  so janet yellen, the us treasury secretary, thinks taxing unrealized capital gains would be a way for them to fund their runaway spending.. first, they claimed that the real cost of their nonsense spending was $0, so they were lying then or are lying now ("why not both?!").

  second, they claimed that money printing doesn't affect inflation, so why not just print the money instead?.

  third, the "for billionaires" is to get the feeble minded masses on board, those that live on benefits and vote democrat for more "free money", but the irs monitoring of $600 bank accounts is also apparently to target the ultra-wealthy as well.

  the last wt magazine on the memorial asserts, that the kingdom covenant was the prime subject of the solemn last supper bread and wine ceremony.

  here was the sobering passing of the bread of wine, symbolizing the new covenant, forgiveness of sins for all.

  here was the symbolic undoing of the talking snake's viles, the reversal of the misery and death of billions, but .

  Bc: what do make of the fact, that the kingdom covenant recorded in Math. 19, and Luke 22, was never part of the "Blood of the [new} covenant" ceremony? and
  

  talking of reading Acts of the Apostles, there is no record they did the memorial on the following passovers, Peter was freed from prison, but no mention of him missing the bread and wine under the full moon.
