Similarities Between JW's & Mormons
by Sea Breeze inover the years, i have found it helpful to see the similarites between jw's and mormons to help me understand what happened to me and my family as jw's.
robert bryan discusses this in one of the best presentations i have heard on the topic.

Are the teachings of JW—consistent?
by Fisherman ini would belief so but if you can point something out, it can be discussed.. i don’t mean what jw taught in the past that they later realized was not correct and amended.
—unless you think and can show something like that is relevant.. i’ve spoken to a lot of believers from different religions.
i don’t want to bash any religion here under this topic but their beliefs are inconsistent and their reasons are sophistry and made up and grounded on circular reasoning.

Contrary to their claim, the teaching methods of the wt F&DS are not consistent with the practises in the early Christian congregation.
The Early "governing body" did not maintain a monopoly on providing "spiritual food. To the contrary, unlike wt's recent history, most of crucial writings in the early era of the "true faith" was done by outsiders. , surpassing in depth the internal output.
see Peter's comments on Paul's writings: "hard to understand [by me]"

What does Watchtower think of being Medically Assisted in Death (MAiD)?
by Vanderhoven7 inthere has been much political controversy in canada over the acceptability of maid.
what, if anything, has watchtower said about this issue?.

I don't see Christ as suicidal
Vandh: but the sacrificial death , for their folks, like the kamikaze, were not primarily desiring to end their life either, nor am I, not tired of life. -- The Son should have stipulated in the term of service, that he would be allowed to live past Adam's lifespan, <1000 years to prove his credentials as a valid shoe in.
There is a perception here , that care for us well past 90 year olds, eagerness to heal is lagging, many die with diagnosis of terminal illnesses, never discovered before. Final care is limited to starving, an euphoric death.
I have a "do not resuscitate " clause in my living will, (do not believe, like wt teaches, that armageddon will end my life) but am not suicidal.
wt practically teaches that anybody not clicking on JW.org is suicidal.

Jesus was on a suicidal, kamikaze mission from the inception, the clergy, romans were merely assistants.
In same languages suicide is " self-murder " .

fisherman can not hide the fact that fishermen kill 100% of their catch, and shepherds have a 100% success rate in fleecing and slaughtering the flock. wolves are amateurs compared to that.

one wt writer used an ingenious illustration to explain the persistence of wt leaders to reach a doctrinal goal, the finality, --- the tacking of a sailing vessel against the wind (pneuma). funny,
His Majesty's Ship wt , when reaching each of these destination, the dates, predictions, has consistently found that "nothing was ever there".
plenty of hapless fish caught in the drag net though. not to mention the keel haulings.

inconsistency that "fisherman" will ignore:
wt Superior Authority doctrine: up to the 1920s : like the churches, wt agrees, The S.A.s are the"worldly" governments, then
in the 1930s, 40, 50, The governments are removed from the scene, and Romans 13 applies exclusively to the superior and supreme authorities: The Father and the Son only . then,
in the early 1960s wt, (through questions from readers column) reverted back to true, old "babylon the great" light:
the Superior Authorities are the governments.
Fishermen are consistently working in killing fish, even if they are held temporarily in aquariums.

"fisherman" is conning everyone to empty their magazine, give it their best shot, and then, unconcerned and unread, will respond with their dump.

Since 1918 wt has consistently preached that "millions now living will never die" , now at the 8 million mark. but it is a creeping false prophecy, for there were never >2 million qualified Armageddon survivors in much of the past.
The new prophecy, that the anointed generation will rise to heaven at the outset of the Great Tribulation is inconsistent with the wording in mat. 24. The generation will pass after all is said and done.
