Details of Noah’s Ark

jw magazines have claimed the flood story has so much detail that it couldn’t be just a made up story.. is it detailed?

name one person outside of noah’s family.

name one nephilim.

the naive writers of the story had no idea what a flood would be like that rises at ~ 10 meters an hour, the turbulence, the forces of the repeated pounding on such a large wooden vessel, held together by dowels, tenons and dove tail joints. How about the inevitable waves, with a worldwide reach not limited by coastlines coming every 2 minutes or so.

all these bible stories are insulting in the light of what we know now. The fact that the "co creator" of the mighty cosmos endorsed it, speaks volumes about the authenticity of the claims.

my first week of posts here were very serious and all the wonderful, encouraging replies helped me very much.. so now i want to ask something semi-frivolous.

(actually it's one of the many things that don't make sense to me about "the truth").

why do animals die?.

enigma 1863 . never thought of that. yeah, scripture has it that "the one with thinking ability will be hated." Abel was smart, he had all these sheep die on him, and the meat, fat, i was useless, even the cats and dogs would not eat it. so he sacrificed them on the altar, rather then send the offal to the dump.

what would have stopped all the ravenous vegetarians, lyons, hyenas, bears to eat the fruit, leafs, roots, bark from the tree of life, even after the posting of the angels?

jehovah's witnesses believe that only 144,000 go to heaven, where as the bible teaches us that all who come to jesus can!

nothing in the bible for 144,000.. the bible teaches that salvation is not through religion, works, self righteousness or human effort.

but salvation is only through the person of the lord jesus christ.. feel free to watch below.

The flood was to clear out the waters in the heavens covering the earth.

Rg350, just explain to us what these waters in the heavens were, that need to be cleared. How were they held up ? in a bubble under 1000 atp? 14 0000 psi pressure? or was the H20 suspended by orbital velocity, like the rings of Saturn? or was the water stolen from mars? may be in a vaulted transparent firmament ceiling held over the four cornered flat earth?

Jesus from a muscle powered wood working family, like Noah's, must have had deep respect their accomplishment. No wonder he quit , while the quitting was good, to rise above it all.Even Elon Musk thinks we ought to leave, and the sun is half way through its life.

Wedding Anniversary #62

hi friends , i thought i would just let you know it`s my wife and i, 62nd wedding anniversary today.. not that we were able to celebrate much as my wife wasn`t up to it today .. however i did manage to give her a couple of champers at home ,while i had a couple o ales with friends down at the club and managed to put on lotto for tonite and a couple of keno`s from the club ,you never know the god`s might smile upon us for doing something right after all these years.?.

happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.

"they (jehovah's witnesses) offer you a free home “bible” study - which turns out to be a study of a watchtower publication with the bible brought out as an afterthought to try and prop up whatever current idea the governing body are claiming is “the truth” this week.. i think it’s underhanded.. when my parents became jehovah’s witnesses and they offered people a free home “bible” study, this is what they brought to study with them:.

current JW doctrine is that the anointed will survive INTO the GT but die before Armageddon.

a Watcher, thank you! I stand corrected. I took liberty with the timing. I read that the partakers will pass away at the onset of the Great Tribulation. Given that these now immortal warriors, will have to be trained to fall in line, and the rest are at it since their resurrection in 1918, I figured to give them the most time possible.

Important is, that wt does not teach any more that their 1914 generation will survive the end.

" but it might be something to think about, or perhaps it's something that you have wondered about in the past.

i know that i sometimes wondered about it, , even when i was "in" the jw organization.

Even mainstream physicists dapple in more than our 3 dimensions plus time. We know that energy can not be created or destroyed, so it is eternal in the past, and already waiting for us in the future, we move into.

The laws that govern our universe seem to be very efficient, reflecting a creative intelligence. Speculation by various ancient or modern religions aside, we can not escape that tremendous work was done before our arrival, awakening.

The bible paints only a caricature of what must be involved.

With energy and its various expressions, being eternal, it certainly can be seen as a carrier of messages, information.

how about the brown "Let God be True" full of wrong doctrines?

I studies myself the " make sure of all things" printed by wt, but with out wt doctrines, except in the selected scriptures, omission of the enlightening ones.

Bible studies are a joke, no intelligent ones would submit to that "question and answer routine, the drivel presented mid week at the hall. wt propaganda disguised as practise session.
