When I was at Bethel (WTF, 1988-9) some friends of mine were visiting and I was able to get them invited for the noon meal. We had a GB visiting at the time (don't remember who), and after the closing remarks, my friends rushed over to have their pictures taken with him, and possibly have their copy of the bible signed. I cannot say for certain that the Bible-signing happened, but I do remember that the hero-worship displayed really bothered me a lot.

That guy (and the others) is so cringy to watch and listen to. I haven't attended in over four years, but no way in hell would I be able to sit there and view this shit on a video screen. Is this really what the meetings have become now? My parents and my children are still in and they have zero contact with me. It saddens me to know that I brought up two kids in this cult.

I remember getting pretty pissed at my mom because she took it upon herself to throw away a heavy, ceramic mortar and pestle I got from an estate sale, because she didn't know what it was and it had "strange" figures on it. (It was from somewhere in Asia and simply had different alphabet characters that she didn't understand)

I voted for the first time in 2016. It did feel empowering, even though my selection didn't have a prayer of winning. I'm seriously thinking of applying for an absentee ballot for this year's elections so I can vote from over here in southeast Asia.

Tell us again why Jesus did the water to wine trick at the wedding. It wasn't because the caterer forgot to order the wine. It was because they RAN OUT of wine. The wedding feast director all but admitted that some of the guests were inebriated already.
z. Can't use the words "luck" or "lucky" because don't believe in the god/goddess of luck. But okay to use other words glorifying false gods. Like "January", "February", "March", "Friday", "Saturday", "Sunday", etc...
