lt seems to me that the bible contradicts itself when one considers that jesus wept at the death of lazarus even though he knew he would resurrect him again. And jesus was perfect in every way.So if this sets a precedence it stands to reason that perfect people in a new system of things would also cry or is my reasoning faulty. And yet the bible clearly says pain and sorrow will be no more.Sorry but lm clearly confused again. -

What are the biggest holes in evolution?
by shadow inhow honest are the proponents of evolution?
idk but curious to see what type of response there is on a topic like this or does their study only seek to confirm their preconceptions and ignore uncomfortable facts?

Whether or not evolution exists is conjecture.ln a few billion years it wont matter anyway as this is when our sun will run out of hydrogen and when that happens anyone alive will have a big problem and a massive headache and severe case of sunburn that no doctor can fix -

Yep life is full of complications and even in a new system of things there would still be complications.Theres no such thing as a perfect world imo. With gods universal sovereign right to rule without question will give him authority to kill anyone in an instant without question. Now thats what l call free will at its very best.Just imagine living life from day to day with a brick tied around your neck.Thats what it would feel like knowing that one tiny slip up and thats it your time is up. -

The old school elders from 1950 through 1970 have either passed away or are nearing the end of their productive life span. These elders were highly motivated spiritual and learned in the teachings of the bible and acted accordingly. The new school elders are more modern in their thinking and have adopted different ways of thinking to keep pace with world changes.Things like technology etc.The org has no alternative but to conform to succeed. This is one of the reasons why we are seeing disruption and broken unity within the org itself.l feel the governing body are at a cross road atm and are in pangs of distress as to what to do with this dliemma. They cant keep the candle burning at both ends and looks like the light is beginning to flicker.lts crunch time. -

Who can you trust to admit you have doubts?
by MrMonroe in(that is, doubts).
in margaret atwood's "the handmaid's tale", a futuristic story of life inside a repressive, abusive big brother-style society tightly controlled by religious fundamentalists, there's a passage in which the protagonist is alone with another woman at a state-controlled centre where prayers are generated -- then printed out and read out -- by a machine.
the other woman asks, in barely more than a whisper, "do you think god listens to these machines?

lm sure the disciples of jesus had questions and concerns and lm certain jesus would have addressed them all without shunning them.Maybe its time the dubs have a confession box? -

"And there will be NO MORE death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever." Rev. 21:3-4.l find this very hard to believe. Can you remember how you felt when your pet died.?All animals have a limited life span and will die even in a perfect world. So do the jehovahs witnesses believe that when our favorite pet dies in the new system we wont feel pain sorrow or cry?.Get real. -

Types attracted to the sect known as jehovahs witnesses.
by atomant inl have observed the types of people attracted to the sect are many times unbalanced, unstable, emotionally insecure types.the jdubs seem to home in like vulchers circling the prey ,preying on the vulnerables.they tried it on me when my father who was an elder died.promising that if you become a dub you will one day see him again.l said how can you promise that when you keep making false misleading predictions.l was wondering if others have observed this phenomenon.

"If I wasn't born a JW, I would never have become one."
by OneEyedJoe ini've seen it mentioned by a few on the forum that at some point there was a realization that had they not been born a jw, they never would've converted no matter how many times the jws tried to study with them.
this was my experience too, and i'm wondering how universal it is for those that were born-in but eventually left.
i think i started having this thought (more specifically that if i were not born a jw, i would surely have become an atheist by now) in my late teens.

lts all hog wash. The witnesses believe that they will be the only ones saved at harmageddon. What a load of absolute crapology. The old saying bullshit baffles brains certainly applies with them lot.The problem is they all believe their own bullshit. There is approx 7 billion non witnesses at the moment that according to the them lot they will all die.The lucky ones having been born into the sect and baptized will be saved.in essence this makes the sect a lucky lottery because l can assure anyone that the majority of born in jdubs would certainly not have become one otherwise. -

l wonder how many shunned ex jehovahs witnesses or anyone directly or indirectly involved as a result of shunning have committed suicide? My question is does this or does it not make the organization accountable? As in blood guilty.
