  Oscar Nominations for 2020

  yes, folks, it will soon be that time of year when obscenely wealthy actors, script writers and directors will collect their oscars and give little thank you speeches, strangely working in social commentary and/or extinction rebellion propaganda.. i know it's a huge back-slapping exercise that many people (including me) find off-putting.. but, there is one nomination that i've got my eye on and hope will win its category.

  its nomination is for best cinematography and the film is the lighthouse (2019), directed and co-written by robert eggers.

  i haven't seen it yet but it's on my 'to see list', as i really liked eggers's previous (debut) film, the witch (2016).. i'll definitely buy the lighthouse when it comes out on dvd.

  I hate the JWs as much as anyone but I can not put this on them. Its like when blacks blame everything on someone else for the choices they themselves make. I was poor, it was hard. Ya well it was for a lot of people and they did not turn to a life of crime. The parents being douche nozzles is one thing, joining a terrorist group is another.

  Its Montana law I doubt the SCOTUS will touch it. It has to be constitutional for them to jump in, its over on this one. But there are more cases in other states. Death by a thousand cuts.

  Most all judges are fools and idiots. Look at the OJ trail and that idiot judge fawning over Robert Downy Jr at his drug trial. Put up a camera an most of these idiots will start to pose. It was a 7-0 vote from what I read so it does not seem to be a party line type of vote.

  remember how you felt watching close encounters of the 3rd kindfor the first time?that's what i'm feeling at the end of season 1 episode 2 ofmessiah.it's not what you think it's going to be.it's not jeffrey hunter in king of kings, or mel gibson's passion of the christ, or the left behind series, or temptation of the christ, or the greatest story ever told.. this isn't a hollywood version of anything.. folks, at the end of episode 2 i'm thinking i'm watching extraordinary storytelling fresh, original, superbly acted and -best of all: no bullshit.. don't read anything about it.
