So I have an eye out for a couple of the more nefarious JW books from the past. I look on ebay Etsy and others. I see that the older books are selling for a good price. You could not give this stuff away 15 years ago. I believe its due to many leaving the cult and wanting to have the original books to hold the cult to what they said. This is why I have some of the more rare books like Millions now living, talking with the dead and Salvation to name a few. Anyone else see a rise in interest in the old books?

TV actress Ja'Net Dubois has passed away.

Ex JW of 30 years , still messed up from it
by Doubledecker inhi , this is my first post .. i left jws 30 years ago as 18 year old unbaptised youth and after the initial fallout from leaving pretty much put the whole thing in a box and buried it .. however , i am now starting to realise how much the doomsday messages and the ‘them and us’ doctrines that’s fed to you from birth has remained in my core beliefs.. how have others managed to reprogram themselves ?.

I think its a hit and miss thing. So many idiots will post what their poop they just took was like or the dinner plate they are about to eat. Some will keep in touch with family and friends, and others will use it for an audience of people they don't even know to try to be a so called internet influence. Personally I think its a lot more BS then good.

by fulltimestudent inuseful information for students of history - why are bat viruses so deadly.. a bat virus may be responsible for the highly infectious coronavirus respiratory illness in wuhan china.. long ago, when i was growing up in a tiny fishing village on the far south coast of new south wales, some people still ate flying foxes, which were a type of bat.
they were kept in cages "to fatten them up," then killed and cooked.
i do not recall any specific sicknesses that may have swept that village.. other wild creatures were also eaten.

I don't think its bat viruses but viruses that can transfer from animal to human. Not many do but some birds, bats and pigs will transfer.
