The world is over populate and the BS you read that its not and can go to 11 billion then it will fall of is not IMO to be taken seriously. We do have a population issue which by its very nature leads to pollution and using up resources faster than they can be replaced. It also leads to pollution and the poorest countries are the biggest polluters, Burning whole rain forrests to grow a bit of food, or raise cows or for Palm oil is just one example.

I can remember that BS. We were told from the platform to put bibles and watchtowers away hidden, then the idiot gave some examples of pulling up the corner of your carpet in a room and putting them flat and the carpet back down. LOL I will stock pile my ar15s and ammo. It sells no matter what the outlook. A watchtower is about useless but for a fire starter.

goAlso to have an AR15 Mini14 or AK plus at least one good hand gun in 9mm and a stock of ammo. Not so much for the virus but a real SHTF scenario. If someone attacks during a SHTF and I die what ever but I don't want to die from lack of shooting back. Also several standard capacity 30 round mags and maybe even one or two 100 rounds. Right now AR15s are so cheap its crazy. You can pick one up for 399. Palmetto State Armory has the freedom complete uppers with BCG and charging handle for 229. You only need to go through an FFL on the receiver all other parts and uppers can ship directly to your home. If you want to make your own lower receiver you can buy an 80 percenter and get the jig and make it if legal in you local and it ships directly to your home no serial nos, but you can not sell that receiver to anyone unless you serialize it and register that with ATF. I built one a few years ago, took me about two hours and was fun to build and works like store bought.

With the dried beans and rice buy spices. Chili powder, onion flakes and garlic powder salt ect. Makes beans and rice good. Also hand held UV Germicidal lights will kill bacteria and viruses in 10 seconds. Cost around 30 to 50 bucks

For years England has did things very different than the US. They usually don't have large refrigerators they have more like what you would see in a dorm room or a home bar. They go to the market and get what they need for a day or two not for a week or month.

Face masks have been sold out across the internet and locally in my area for weeks. The best way is to quarantine yourself and not go into large crowds. The buckets of emergency food are sold out across the internet and there are long waits for delivery. Ramen noodles, Non Fat dry milk, syrup, peanut butter, pancake mix, bullion for flavoring and spices have long shelf life. All dried foods like rice, beans and peas will last many years. I have a vacuum sealer then put that into a mylar bag with an oxygen absorber. Canned foods will last at least three years. But its not a 25 year shelf life. Salt, Sugar, flour will all last many years if kept dry and stored inside. I can remember when Johny Carson told a joke on the tonight show mid 70s that toilet paper was in short supply. It lead to panic buying and it was a few months before you could get it easily and that was a joke. So just the panic of this thing can cause disruptions of food and other staples. Also its not too late to pick up an AR15 and some ammo. It all could amount to just a short panic but there were about 2 billion people on earth in 1918. The Influenza of 1918 killed 50 million people. There is no cure for a virus. Any vaccine is about 1 to 2 years out. Humans are fuel for a virus. The more there are the more fuel and the more it can mutate to even more deadly forms. The news today said that the people in China who have gotten over the virus some are coming down with it again, this is not normal. Its also strange that the outbreak is very close to a known Chines biological warfare development facility. Lots of unknowns. Its also a good time to start if you have not buying into the stock market.

Is anyone prepping by buying food that has a long shelf life? I have been messing with it for years. Buying fat free powder milk, bullion cubes, rice, beans dried, and other things that has a shelf life of 25 years. I got on line today and most all the emergency food prep buckets are sold out across the web. I went to my local Walmart today and they were low on some things like powder milk, but most things were still in stock. I know from living in Fla during a hurricane what panic buying is and you wish you had put something back when it was calm. After Irma it was a month or so before the shelves were stocked again and there was no major damage. Things like Peanut butter will last many years. There is a guy called Steven1989 on youtube who opens and eats old military C rations and the like. Many things go rancid like meats ect but peanut butter after 50 years in a sealed can is still very edible. Same thing with honey, Syrup and other things. My brother makes fun of me and asks if I have seen black helicopters but its not a matter of if but when.
