I just got back from Lowes, they have the N95 compliant masks but limit one per customer. A box of 10 was 22 bucks and you have to go to the service dept to get them.

One type of vinyl and seven types of latex gloves without visual defects were tested with respect to their barrier function against high concentrations of three viruses of varying size: herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1, 180 nm), human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1, 100 nm), and echovirus type 9 (Echo 9, 25 nm). Viral suspensions of HSV-1 (10(8) TCD50/ml), HIV-1 (10(5) TCD50/ml), and echovirus type 9 (10(7.5)TCD 50/ml) were placed in an inverted glove finger immersed in media and maintained for 3 h at room temperature with sampling performed from outside the glove at 10 min, 30 min, 1 h, 2 h, and 3 h. No cytopathic effect (CPE) was identified after inoculation onto Vero cells or RhMK cells for HSV-1 and Echo 9, respectively, and reverse transcriptase activity was not detected in Hut 78 cells after inoculation of HIV-1 during any of the time intervals. Stretching of a glove finger for 18 h with repetition of the procedure with Echo 9 revealed no CPE. We conclude that under these experimental conditions, intact gloves act as effective barriers to the transmission of viral particles, including HIV in the health care setting.

B75, that seems to be the case on both radical ends of the spectrum. Although we don't live in the USA in a democracy but a republic, the power still lays with the voters. Both radical sides don't like this. The never Trumpers are case in point. They don't like Trump and want to over throw the will of the people in favor of the elitists point of view. People like Bill Kristol come to mind. He is an elitist idiot who would love to see power only with the wealthy elite.

Also if you read Rand she was not for democracy. She was in favor of a dictatorship ruled by the wealthy and smart which she felt were one in the same.

I don't subscribe to Rand's rants. She was out and out nuts. There is always a small seed of truth in any cult. Giving money and things to those who do not work for it does not work. Communism and Socialism do not work. Having Capitalism that has regulation and social safety nets works. The same people who yell keep the government out of my health care will pull a gun if you say lets end Medicare and Social Security. These programs are not socialism but a social safety net. I am for making people receiving things like Medicaid and welfare food stamps ect work for what they get. This idea that some welfare queen sitting home smoking crack and spreading her legs popping out more welfare babies and having the state pay for it is stupid. But if you make them do drug testing and then work to get what they are getting I am all for it. It may not even be a fair trade as to how hard they can work for what they get but drug testing and make them do something. Pick up trash, paint a gov. building wash floors or sweep sidewalks. But Rand's ideas lead to unrest and riots. If you implemented Ayn's crazy ideas there would be a revolution and we would have communism. Learning from history is key. WW2 was started by the harsh treatment of the German empire after WW1. We found that by building up a country we have had so far heading for a century of trade partners and stable nations. IMO the far left and the far right are both crazy. This is not an either or thing. There is a middle way.

I am in no way saying don't read it or any such thing. Just pointing out that Rand was a nutzo mentally ill person who had radical ideas that will not work in the real world and that she did not live by her own crazy ideology.

In the book atlas shrugged her characters are one dimensional. She was not a good writer. there were characters she held up and they were all perfect according to the story's, or characters she did not like and were all bad all the time. The characters that were Rand type thinkers were young beautiful and smart and right and rich all the time. Those in her books that were not her boot lickers were fat, stupid, lazy and ugly and can not even have enjoyable sex. She started a cult. Anyone who was not part of the cult was a user and a boil on the ass of society. In Rand's view the masses are too stupid to achieve or contribute to society. In her view democracy was destructive because these stupid masses are too dumb to vote correctly. She pushed the idea of elite dictatorship. The book A.S. where the rich and smart which are one in the same in Rand's world go on strike and run away to a new made society created in the mountains of Colorado. Then there is the 300 people die when a coal burner train goes through a tunnel and she says they deserve it for being poor and supporting the government. John Gult creates a cult in Gults Gultch and the sex is almost rape. She was a very disturbed individual.
