  anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.

  if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

  there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

  This was not an intentional murder by any means and I'm surprised the prosecution went for that charge. They had all the information about Floyd's health condition before they pressed charges.

  Just to note, the hold down position that Chauvin made couldn't been too restrictive because Floyd could still talk and did so for a few minutes of being held that way.

  The cops were probably thinking hey this is big strong guy, he can take this.
  

  The damming evidence in this case is shown by the police's body cam footage when one officer goes to check for a pulse on Floyd's arm and says I dont get a pulse but all the officers there including Chauvin didn't make a motion to turn him over and try to resuscitate him.

  Established laws are not designed to uphold preferred individual biases.

  What was missing in this forced restraint was why didn't the officers tell Floyd that they will get off him if he goes into the police car ?

  It looks like they were attempting to hogtie and lift him into the car but couldn't follow through with that.

  The situation was more well you wont go into the car peacefully so we will apply police force against you.

  The following steps to successfully make him get into the car on his own or without struggle seemed to get obscured .

  The shouting intervening street pedestrians seemed to have made the matters worse.

  @Rocket: Why would it be fool hardy?

  Well for one the attending officers did not take due care and attention concerning the health and welfare during the actions of subduing a suspect of a unlawful crime.

  And the general public, including the black community is watching this case very closely to see if fair and equatable justice is being served to the accused.

  If there is an acquittal and those cops get off scott free without any charges being laid, expect riots in the streets once again.

  It would be fool hardy for the court to not make any punishable consequences toward the attending police officers..

  The murder charges should be dropped and other lessor criminal negligence charges should be imposed.

  My guess is that's exactly whats going to happen.

  I previously said bad things about the stand by pedestrians which may have not been totally correct. .

  They saw a man on the ground blacked out unconscious with a police officer pressing his knee across his neck, they were just showing concern for the person out of empathy.

  Its appears more now this was really a case of overuse of force provoking negligence in providing care and attention toward the health of a subdued and retained probable suspect .

  The simple question is did the cop and other policemen purposely try to make Floyd die.

  Thats a far stretch to conclude being that those police officers had body cams working and filming their activity and there was a lot of people around watching the whole event..

  What motive would they for all of them to together make a agenda to intentionally kill someone right in the open public like that ?
  

  Cops aren't that stupid.

  What probably happened is that the police were pressed to make themselves in control of the situation as we are the police in power when public civilians on the street were telling them what to do.

  They may have assumed that well this guy is a lowly drugged up felony with a criminal record therefore were less inspired to give him proper care and attention because of that
  

  Even society's lowest need to be addressed and handled like everyone else according to established law constitutes.

  Yes it is kind of ironic when you think about it, add in the fact when the JWS sell one of their Kingdom Halls to another religoius organization they usually make a huge profit financially.

  Hypocrisy under a cloak of spiritual righteousness..

  Power and money leads men to corruption and the inner workings of religion is a prime vehicle toward obtaining those two things..

  It would appear that Floyd's death was a combination of numerous factors which involved physical suppression on both his neck and chest region, drugs in his system and possible Covid 19 virus symptoms .

  This was not an intentional murder, this was an act of negligence by the attending police in not responsibly looking after the health of a citizen in serious health distress and being the actual cause of the individual's health distress.
  

  The police officers there were under the assumption that Floyd simply passed out and that once the attending EMT arrived they would revive him .

  Derek Chauvin will probably take the brunt of the punishment since it was him that kept his knee across Floyd's neck once it was obvious to the officers he had already passed out.

  do you think there will be a noticeable drop-off in attendance as we have read on here that many have left or faded?

  will there be a mass selling of halls?

  I think when people return to the Kingdom Halls there will be even more video talks and programs from HQ to all Congregations .

  They are going to use those newly constructed video production facilities to their fullest.

  It will movie time at the Kingdom Halls every Thursday night.

  Oh boy I cant wait .
