  anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.

  if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

  there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

  was it really necessary for George Floyd to resist arrest and refuse to get in the cop car ?

  That goes without saying after the fact.

  As I mentioned early Floyd has to bare some responsibility for what happened to him.

  The use of deadly force by acting police officers against a individual who is suspect of a crime has to have its limits.

  Police officers while on duty have to have the cognitive awareness to be in control of a situation within the bounds of legality during an altercation with an individual, if they cant do that they shouldn't be a police officer.

  I wonder was it really necessary for Chauvin to place his knee across Floyd's neck area, I'm sure placing his knee across the top of his shoulders would have worked as well.

  I'm sure many police officers are going to take this situation into account when trying to restrain someone on the ground.

  If he did that and Floyd still passed out, Chauvin wouldn't be going to jail for the next 10 to 15 years.

  Kind of surprised at the verdict particularly when the information came out that Floyd had drugs in his system and existing heart problems.

  There is certainly going to be an appeal which in my guess the charges will be lowered a bit..

  Floyd died because of the restraining technique the cops performed and his heart condition, along with a certain amount of drugs in his system .

  But that still doesn't make an excuse for the cops to not do anything when it was noticed that he went into cardiac arrest.

  Plus, they don't really know.

  What do you mean the guy is laying face down with no movement whatsoever, obviously blacked out with no perceivable pulse.

  What looks bad for all the cops there was they didn't make any attempt revive him once it was realized they guy was clearly out.

  Buddhism is acknowledging the only person who can save us is our self.

  Correct but mankind needs science and knowledge to help us on a path toward a better living experience.

  One can still appreciate the ideology of what Buddhism represents though .

  The people who run the WTS/JWS must not be very smart because when the org. first refused the Aussie redress scheme that hit the media giving the JWS a bad pubic image, then they realized it was going to cost them some cash so they changed their minds.

  JWS are supposed to obey government rules and laws anyways so why didn't they say well I guess we should do this brothers ?

  If the WTS there didn't have tax exempt status all donations and profits such as what may occur at assemblies, personal donations, investments the WTS have would be subject to taxation.

  What I find annoyingly stupid about this case is why did all the cops after one cop took a pulse check on to Floyd and said there was none did any of the cops make a suggestion to turn him over and try to resuscitate him ?

  I dont see the murder charges going through but criminally negligent manslaughter which was one of the charges.

  Even that wont sit well with some people, so yeah there will be riots in the streets once again, because after all it was a race issue .........or was it ?
