if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

I think Simon was right on the onset in implying this case was going to highly influenced from outside political and social pressure.
The decision and verdict by the jury of intentional murder for the first two charges proves that.
If this was really a fair trial without the enormous outside influence, the last charge of criminal negligence manslaughter would most likely be the only charge levied.

If the pressure on Floyd's neck area suppressed his breathing which just provoked the cardiac arrest with that amount of fentanyl in his system, it just looks really bad when a cop lays his knee across someone's neck when they its noted that the individual is assumed to be clinically dead.
Not a smart move either way , especially when its all being filmed live.

With the toxicology report in hand and her testimony, why wasn't that used to establish cause of the death ?
You would think the defense lawyers would use this during the trial.
If the toxicology report showed an enormous amount of fentanyl in his system which would caused a cardiac arrest as its known to, why didn't the involved doctors state so ?

are some over eager?
Sometimes cops justifiably get a bum rap for their mistakes and bad judgements while on duty, but unlike us non police workers when we make mistakes we usually dont cause a death of someone.
Its a tough job for only people who can be tough at times but also smart in their interaction with the public, they also have to have a semblance of human compassion, most do.

Floyd appears to be whacked up on drugs during the arrest , perhaps two different drugs fighting against one another.
The toxicology report showed that as well.
I dont understand why that wasn't put into consideration to him going into cardiac arrest. ???
The elevated heart rate during the struggling arrest and then the sudden suppression to his breathing capability by Derek Chauvin's knee against his neck, combined with a fair amount of drugs in his system most likely caused the cardiac arrest to occur.
