  Drinking expensive drinks - seriously looked down upon as a JW

  i remember when i was a jw, drinking a good wine or other liquor was looked down upon.

  it’s better to put that money towards the worldwide work donations i always got told.

  so the best thing i ever got was johnny walker red back then (johnny walker is cheap blend).

  I've seen elders give talks on materialism and worldly desires while wearing a super expensive suit and then watch him walk to his brand new Cadillac and drive off.

  there is a proverb that speaks of four things as never being satisfied, as never saying, “enough.” sometimes jehovah’s witnesses, as they listen to congregation servants discuss field service, may think these servants could have been listed as a fifth class that never says, “enough.” it may seem that they are never satisfied, as they urge better meeting attendance, more home bible studies and increased door-to-door activity.

  to have servants who say “it is enough” before the work is finished would be disastrous to the congregation.

  Yes I remember absorbing that ignorance with great boredom and annoyance, glad I dont have to anymore and I actually have a very good reason not to, its human ignorance via ancient mythology.

  so in the latest leaked video, splane goes on this crazy delusional rant about how faithful witnesses should never research their faith.. he criticizes the worldly court system and says they are not fair toward witnesses and the organization.

  he says the court system is rigged and witnesses who get convicted, (implied child sex abusers) are innocent.

  he is literally trying to justify child molesters and elders who cover them, as good people in "god's eyes" even though "human authorities" may judge them and put them in jail.

  There is good reason why the GB men instructed all congregations to burn any paper information about one of their members involving pedophilia, sexaul abuse of minors..

  People with a sense of moral integrity and honesty will see that and there many in the JWS religion to be sure.

  • Even though vaccines offer different ranges of protection, experts say getting fully vaccinated is crucial.

  The United States is now dealing with the delta variant of the coronavirus, a highly contagious variant that was first identified in India in December.

  As with previous variants, the delta variant has spread to many countries across the world, including, most notably, the United Kingdom, where it’s now responsible for around 99 percent of new cases.

  The United States first announced that it had diagnosed a case with the delta variant in March this year. It’s now the dominating variant nationwide, making up more than half of all new infections in the country.

  Confirmed infections with the delta variant have also been doubling since June. The average is more than 24,000 a day, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  What is meant is "The reaction, what they are telling us, the fear point, is not real. It is not justified."

  I would have to agree with to that to a certain extent Mustard.

  The payback is economies slowly returning and government issued benefits that will have to be repaid. (taxes)
  

  The virus may be over but there is going to be lingering consequences.

  You really cant fault the governments for doing what they did, it was in good intentions.

  At least we can say we will be more prepared for the next pandemic virus that comes around and I hope it doesn't in are lifetime.
