Sorry to stray off the subject but I haven't read 'The Celestine Prophecy'

A book i've not long finished, which I would recommend is ' Tutankhamun. The Exodus Conspiracy' by Andrew Collins and Chris Ogilvie-Herald.

The back cover says:

"What secrets lie behind the controversy surrounding the opening of the tomb of Tutankhamen?

Why did Howard Carter's revelation about the contents of papyrus documents found inside the tomb threaten chaos for the British Government of the time?

Do the papyri reveal the true story of the biblical Exodus?

Very interesting conclusions are brought out. Well worth a read.

the commander of the joint task force at guantanamo, major general geoffrey miller, says more than one child under the age of 16 is at the detention centre.

Has anyone heard of any Iraqi prisoners being taken to camp x-ray?

I know that Taric Aziz, the Iraqi spokesman, said in an interview in January that he would not surrender as he would be taken there.

Now that he has surrendered, is he going to end up there? And are others already there?

I know that Tony Blair strongly pointed out in the Houses of Commons that no Iraqi's should be threatened with this, as it would make them less likely to surrender.

i'm not unduly worried about contracting sars, particularly as the chances of getting it are remote.

there's plenty more threatening illnesses around that aren't remote, but leastways i can have some control over these far more dangerous diseases by how i conduct my lifestyle.

I think they are testing out how people will react to news of an outbreak.

Testing what lengths they can go to in the name of protecting the population. The Patriot Act II says that if an alert is sounded, the government can quarantene whole cities, even stop parents from collecting children from school.

What lengths will people allow the government to go to, to protect their health.?

I would give almost anything to have the answers to my questions.

But I have so many questions that I wouldn't have enough to give...unless I could sell my soul...but who would want it?

not being racist in any way but i dont see any photos of black or spanish gatherings posting on the board , what is the reason for this yes if i bring out controvesy then feel free ,sorry no ime not racist,as i am from mixed parentage ,or dont other nationalitys feel the need to heal themselves after the borg have they been so dissasimilated that they dont trust anyone else,come out from behind your masks and reveal the real you.

Could the world "go back in time" 20+ years?

the situation with sars in asia appears to be worsening and travel restrictions alone are likely to have a devastating effect on the immediate asian economy (singapore, taiwan, hong kong etc...) as a lot of these rely on trade and travel.. i wonder if the world could now cope with going back 20+ years to a time when fewer people travelled and international travel was a rarity for the majority of people.. nowadays we take for granted that we can jump on a plane and jet off to faraway lands ... but what if we couldn't?

i think one "benefit" (bad word) to sars is that it could put a brake on globalisation which i see as a bad thing.

If free-travel is limited then this will undoubtedly affect the economy worldwide.

I can't help feeling that a new virus of this danger couldn't have started by itself, maybe it was a bio-weapon that has accidentally (or purposely) been released. It also seems to be mutating. The fact that it has started in China should make us worried, as we know they have a large Bio-weapons research program.

The World Health Organisation has said that 1 in 7 people could die as a result of contracting SARS. Very scary. But what is the result of this threat? More control of the population, and a new source of fear to keep everybody demanding the governments to take away more freedom to protect them from this terror.

Too right. The most interesting 'stories' have actually been left out of the canon, I think it would have been stretching credibility a bit too far to ask people to believe some of them.

I have a copy of the 'book of Enoch' which by all criteria should be in the canon, but if you asked people to believe half the things in it you'd be fighting a loosing battle.

Very strange.

The early Gnostics believed that Lilith WAS Eve. They also believed that Lilith was the first created and then Adam.

The Hebrew Talmud says that Lilith was Adams first wife. She was known as Lil to the Sumerians and Lilitu to the Babylonians.

Hebrew tradition says that Lilith rebelled against Adam and his God and fled to a cave after eating her own child.

The Roman Catholic church suppressed the Gnostics, not least because they didn't believe in a middle man between themselves and God.

Thats all I can remember, but i'll try and dig up some references for you.

Did you read the articles earlier this year on Kraft foods?

Apparently they have been putting GM ingrediants in their food without labelling. They tried to sell the same foods over here but they weren't allowed to, and thats how it came out.

Monsanto has had a lot of funding from Tony Blairs government, despite opposition from his own party. They have been planting GM crops next to natural crops and these have cross-pollonated.

I think messing with nature is always dangerous but it will be years before the consequences are felt.
