Then until we get a credible source, this is an online ex-JW equivalent of "Made ya look." -

How do JW's determine a person is anointed?
by thinker11 ini've always wondered about this.
when a person believes they made a spiritual connection with god and proclaims themselves as anointed, how do they determine whether this person is anointed or not.
does a group of elders look at the person's spiritual resume and check off the person's pioneer stats, bible knowledge, attendance, work ethic, personality, etc and then believe in the person if they have a good track record?

An elderly man in Sacramento made sure to teach me that, "There is one thing Jehovah can't do: Lie." He was anointed, or so they say.
Nice guy, but you can hardly tell me now that Jehovah can't lie. If he can't then he isn't all-powerful, and he is shown in the scriptures to deceive his enemies. Therefore he can lie.
So, eh. Delusion, big numbers, and good manners is probably all it really takes.

Is there a more credible source for this news than something like "star connect media"?

That last paragraph, though:
However Jehovah’s Witnesses are a peaceful group who hold their worship in the open and denounce all sorts of religious extremism. They believe in the Bible which also encourages them to respect secular authority. It is now left to the world to appeal to President Vladimir Putin to halt this attempt to wipe out witnesses from Russia/

Jehovah sure loves foreskins!
by rebel8 inan atheist (never jw) friend of mine is an rv for a jw who he is trying to deprogram.
he started this totally on his own and just telling me about it.
it's quite amusing what he comes up with.. point 1: why the s & m stuff with foreskins?

Given all the talk in the Bible about slavery, doesn't that make the most sense?

I mean, they had to toss 'em somewhere right?
Anyway this is interesting:
Circumcision is the world's oldest planned surgical procedure, suggested by anatomist and hyperdiffusionist historian Grafton Elliot Smith to be over 15,000 years old, pre-dating recorded history. There is no firm consensus as to how it came to be practiced worldwide. One theory is that it began in one geographic area and spread from there; another is that several different cultural groups began its practice independently. In his 1891 work History of Circumcision, physician Peter Charles Remondino suggested that it began as a less severe form of emasculating a captured enemy: penectomy or castration would likely have been fatal, while some form of circumcision would permanently mark the defeated yet leave him alive to serve as a slave.[23][82]

Has WT actually drafted an End of Days tract?
by schnell ini heard in years past that there was such a tract planned for the great tribulation.
my father at the time denied this, and reasoned that that would not be a loving thing for them to do, to essentially say, "told ya so!".
last year, the bunker videos had brother brown mention "a message of judgment".. has such material been drafted or is this just another bluff?.

Was that officially the intent of that brochure? -

I really hate the word "ones".
by schnell innecessary as it is at times, i hate this word.
for one thing, "ones" is a plural form of the number 1. that is dumb, and it's reason enough to avoid it where it isn't entirely necessary.. one could argue that it never is necessary, but it can still come up in colloquial dialogue when discussing objects.
jw leaders use it to discuss people.. interestingly, jws even did this to jesus christ in their own translation of the bible, referring to him in ephesians 1:7 with "through the blood of that one" where another translation would say something like "through his blood".

Granted, that "one of" business is due to grammar, but I'm sure it's also to give a sense that you're part of a bigger group as well. Surely, "Jehovah witness", as dumb as it sounds, is just as valid as the official grammatical nightmare.

I don't like it. It's tied too closely with cult indoctrination for me. The word takes all the soul and personality and individuality away in favor of identifying every person as what is truly the loneliest number.
